About Learn With Us: Workshops & Community
You don’t need an art background to start here. I keep my workshop batches small and hands-on, ensuring we have enough space to forage for materials, experiment with plant dyes, and actually fix mistakes. We focus on natural, skin-safe fibers like cotton and silk, so you can learn without worrying about harsh chemicals or waste.
My studio in the Hebbal Industrial Area isn't a traditional classroom. It's a makerspace where we prioritize 'unlearning' the fast-fashion mindset and getting back to how colors are actually made in nature.
What You Can Learn
We host regular sessions covering a range of traditional techniques. You might spend a day mastering the deep hues of Indigo Resurrect, trying your hand at block printing with wooden stamps, or learning how to capture the imprint of real leaves using eco-printing. We also offer deep-dive training for those looking to start their own sustainable practice.
The Workshop Experience
- Hands-on Practice: We provide all the raw materials. You bring your curiosity and your hands.
- Small Batches: I limit the number of participants so we can actually have conversations while we work. It’s about the community as much as the craft.
- Community & Collaboration: You will meet everyone from local artists to international travelers. Our 'Unusual Narratives' talks and artist jams are where the real connection happens.
Who Should Join?
Whether you are a homeschooler, an artist looking to swap petro-based hues for planet-positive palettes, or just someone looking for a quiet, creative weekend, you belong here. You don’t need to be an expert—just bring your energy. If you are a designer or brand wanting to transition to natural dyes, we also offer specific mentorship and technical training to help you set up your own sustainable process.
