Featured Natural Dye and Upcycled Fashion Work
We transform faded fabrics into wearable art using plant-based dyes. Here is a look at our process, from custom upcycling to organic cotton creations.
This shirt, once stained and forgotten, was given a second life. I used a special eco-printing technique with natural leaves and pomegranate peels to create a design that is both beautiful and completely one-of-a-kind.
Watch the journey of a custom block print order in my studio. From carving the design into a wooden block to the final print on fabric, every step is done by hand with care, using my special plant-based printing pastes.
There is nothing more joyful than seeing clients connect with my work. This organic cotton yoga set, dyed in a soft sunset pink, is designed to be breathable, comfortable, and kind to your skin during your practice.
The magic of upcycling, side-by-side. I love taking garments that are stained or faded and transforming them with natural dyes and techniques like tie-dye and eco-printing, giving them a whole new story to tell.
Creating something special for the little ones is a true joy. This soft, organic cotton onesie was dyed with gentle plant colors, and I hand-painted the baby's name to make it a cherished keepsake.
Come dye fabric with me. This is where the transformation happens, as plain cloth soaks up the rich, earthy colors from my one-step natural dye mixes, creating unique patterns and shades every time.
A moment of shared joy and connection. Seeing a group of yoga practitioners glowing in clothes dyed with the earth's own colors is what my work is all about: aligning our bodies and minds with nature.
Here in my studio, I am personally involved in every creation. This video shows the meditative process of hand-painting a large fabric with natural dyes, a technique that allows for truly instinctive and artistic designs.
About Featured
We do not just dye fabric, we troubleshoot it. When you send us a garment, we look at existing stains or faded areas not as defects, but as part of the canvas. By using natural mordants and local plant extracts, we turn those spots into deliberate design elements, ensuring your clothes get a second, more vibrant life without using harsh synthetic chemicals.
Our approach to fashion is rooted in the belief that the most sustainable garment is the one you already own. At our Mysore studio, we practice what we call #BiomeResurrect, a process where we take clothes that have become victims of wear and tear and give them a completely fresh narrative. Because second-hand fabrics are typically well-washed, they are perfect for absorbing natural colors without needing aggressive scouring.
Our Studio Process
When we handle your clothing, the journey begins with an assessment of the fiber. We work exclusively with natural materials like cotton, silk, and linen. Synthetic blends do not take our plant-based dyes well, so we focus our energy on fibers that respect your skin and the water table.
We offer several paths for transformation:
- Solid Over-dyeing: Refreshing a faded item with a consistent, earthy tone using indigo, madder, or iron.
- Artistic Impression: Using eco-leaf printing and block prints to hide stubborn stains, turning a damaged patch into a unique focal point.
- Custom Production: If you are looking for something new, we create organic cotton yoga wear and baby onesies, hand-painted with natural pigments.
Why Natural Dyes Matter
Mainstream dyeing is often the most polluting part of the garment industry. We bypass this by sourcing colors from minerals and plants. While this means you might see slight batch variations or a matte finish compared to synthetic colors, it also means your clothing is free from toxic fixatives. We invite you to visit us in the Hebbal Industrial Area, Mysuru, to see how we forge this connection between nature and the clothes you wear.
