Architecture Designed for Light and Connection

We believe architecture should be quiet, intentional, and deeply connected to the land. This collection highlights how we use natural light and honest materials to create spaces that feel like home.

This is the heart of the Split House, where a central, double-height courtyard and a massive skylight dissolve the boundaries between indoors and out. We designed this space to be a tranquil core for family life, where the changing light marks the passing of the day. The design uses a minimal palette of marble, teak, and glass to keep the focus on the spatial volume and the connection to nature.

The facade of the House Above The Tree captured at sunset, showcasing how the structure interacts with light. We used clean lines, a rooftop garden, and distinctive vertical louvers to create a modern home that is both private and open to its surroundings. This view highlights the home's strong geometric form against the soft evening sky.

An exterior view of 'An Earthy Affair', a home designed to celebrate natural materials and its connection to the landscape. We used exposed brick and large openings to create a structure that feels rooted and honest. The design plays with solid volumes and open terraces to create a dynamic relationship with the surrounding green space.

An internal courtyard in the Notan Home, designed as a private oasis that brings light, air, and nature into the center of the house. This multi-level view shows the interplay between the water body, the indoor planter with a frangipani tree, and the living spaces above, creating a constant visual connection across the home.

A moment of motion and reflection in 'The Amber Encase' clubhouse, where a bold, monochromatic yellow corridor creates an immersive experience. We used a mirrored ceiling to amplify the sense of height and play with perception, turning a simple passageway into a memorable architectural feature. This demonstrates our approach to using color to define and energize public spaces.

A rendering of Aurum Avenue, our vision for a modern housing community that prioritizes social interaction and green living. The design breaks down the mass of the building into a series of interlocking blocks, creating private balconies and shared terraces. This architectural approach ensures that every residence is filled with light and has a connection to the outdoors.

In the House Above The Tree, we designed a perforated screen that transforms sunlight into a dynamic pattern, creating an ever-changing mural of light and shadow. This stairwell becomes a playful and serene space, demonstrating our belief that even functional areas can be sources of beauty and delight. It's a space loved by all members of the family, including the furry ones.

About this collection

When you walk into one of our spaces, you will notice that we do not just build walls; we craft how the sun moves through your rooms. From the way we integrate a single tree into a living area to the use of brick screens for privacy, our design process is about removing the unnecessary so that the space itself breathes. This is not about trends, it is about building a home that ages gracefully with you.

At Collage Architecture Studio, we treat every project as a dialogue between the occupant and the environment. Our approach is fundamentally context-sensitive, meaning we listen to the local climate, the specific soil, and the orientation of the sun before a single line is drawn on the sketchpad. Whether it is a private residence like the Split House or an institutional space like The Amber Encase, our priority remains the same: creating an atmosphere that feels alive.

We focus heavily on the 'solid and void' relationship. In residential design, this often manifests as double-height courtyards and large skylights that act as the lungs of the house, pulling in light and ventilation. We prefer earthy materials—brick, concrete, and teak—because they age well and provide a tactile, grounded experience that modern glass-and-steel boxes often lack.

Our process is deeply collaborative. We do not work in isolation. From the early concept phase, we engage with structural engineers, contractors, and artists to ensure that complex features like cantilevers, floating staircases, and perforated jaali screens are executed with precision. We believe that great design is not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. If you are looking to build a space that prioritizes quality of life over ornamentation, we would be happy to discuss your vision.
