A look at our studio's signature glazes, student projects, and the pottery techniques we practice and teach at our Koramangala workshop every day.

This intricately carved pot is brought to life with our Medieval Gold glaze. The satin matte finish creates a beautiful antique gold effect that highlights every detail, turning a simple form into a piece of art.

Ever wondered how to create a beautiful speckled glaze? We break down the entire process, from preparing the glaze chunks to the final firing. This is one of the many techniques we've perfected in our studio and love to share with our community.

A collection of pieces finished with our Lush Green glaze. This versatile, stable glaze offers a rich forest green hue with subtle blue speckles, working beautifully on both light and dark stoneware clay bodies.

We love experimenting with textures, and this Moon Crater effect is one of our favorites. This video shows the process of creating this unique, tactile surface, demonstrating how our glazes can be used to achieve extraordinary results.

The heart of Clay Station is our community. Here, artists from our Arangetram 2024 exhibition share the stories behind their favorite pieces. Their passion and creativity are what inspire us every day.

Your pottery wheel is a long term partner in your craft, and proper care is essential. We've put together some simple do's and don'ts to help you keep your wheel running smoothly for years to come.

This collection showcases the depth and character of our Pirate Black glaze. It's a stunning glossy black that breaks into subtle hues of purple, blue, and brown, adding complexity and elegance to any piece.

About this collection

Everything featured here is tested in our own Koramangala studio at Cone 6. Whether you are curious about our signature 'Medieval Gold' finish or need reliable firing services for your own pieces, we use the same materials and equipment we stock on our shelves.

At Clay Station, we believe that pottery is a process. This cluster brings together the heart of what we do, from the complex chemistry of our in-house glazes to the raw energy of our student exhibitions. We do not just teach; we provide the tools to help you build a professional practice.

Why Our Process Matters

We test every material we sell because we use it ourselves. Our glazes, including the metallic Medieval Gold and reactive Pirate Black, are formulated to perform consistently at Cone 6 (1223°C). If a glaze does not meet our standards for stability and finish in our daily studio work, it never makes it to our shop shelf.

More Than Just a Class

We are a community. Our annual Arangetram exhibition highlights this, showcasing the journey our students take from their first session on the wheel to creating pieces they are proud to exhibit. This growth is why we also offer an artist residency program, providing the space and mentorship for potters to push their boundaries.

Studio Support for Bengaluru Potters

We know that finding a reliable kiln or high-quality clay can be the biggest hurdle. That is why we opened our doors to independent artists. Whether you need a space to work, a kiln for firing your pieces, or specific supplies like iron oxide and de-aired stoneware, we are here to ensure your work has the foundation it needs to succeed.
