This is the heartbeat of our centre. Beyond the rescues and surgeries, this is where our permanent residents and those on the mend find comfort, community, and care every single day.

A day in the life of Zoafer, one of our shelter residents. See his daily routine, from waking up and getting pets from our staff to enjoying a healthy, protein-rich meal.

Sunday showers featuring Peanut, our special two-legged resident. A volunteer gives him a bath, showing the individual love and care each of our animals receives.

MJ is a distemper survivor with some lasting neurological effects, but that doesn't stop him from living his best life at the shelter. He marches to the beat of his own drum.

Our rescued donkey, Saanvi, pops in to say hello. She serves as a gentle reminder to slow down and enjoy the simple moments.

We are home to over 300 animals. This video shows our team conducting quarterly blood tests and annual vaccinations, ensuring every resident receives individual and preventative medical care.

A meal full of love and nourishment can work magic. Sponsoring a day's meals helps us feed over 800 animals in our care, giving them the strength they need to heal.

This Diwali, we honor our "Dogs of Determination," the special unit for our paralyzed and mobility-impaired residents. Sponsoring a meal supports them and all the other animals in our shelter.

About this collection

Living in a shelter is about more than survival; it is about routine, dignity, and tailored care. Whether it is our 'Dogs of Determination' receiving laser therapy or residents like Peanut enjoying a gentle bath, every animal follows a schedule designed for their specific medical and emotional needs.

At our Yelahanka facility, caring for over 300 residents is a round-the-clock commitment. Our team ensures that each animal, from the healthy puppies to the paralyzed seniors, receives individual attention.

The Daily Routine

For many, our shelter is a forever home. This means our day is structured around their well-being. It starts with morning checks, moves into scheduled medications for those with chronic conditions, and includes specialized physical therapy sessions. We utilize laser therapy and hydrotherapy in our water tanks to help mobility-impaired dogs regain strength and comfort.

Dogs of Determination

This is a special unit within our shelter dedicated to our paralyzed and severe mobility-impaired residents. These animals require intensive, daily hygiene protocols, including manual bladder expression and specialized bedding management, to prevent health complications. They are the definition of resilience, and they receive the highest level of consistent care to ensure they live full, happy lives.

Medical and Nutritional Care

We do not just provide food; we provide nourishment. Quarterly blood tests and annual vaccinations are part of the standard protocol for every resident. By sponsoring a day of meals, you are not just filling a bowl. You are providing the critical energy these animals need to heal, recover, and thrive while they wait for their forever homes or live out their days in comfort with us.
