Support Senior and Special Needs Animals in Bangalore
Our Geriatric Centre is a sanctuary for older and special-needs animals who are often overlooked. You can give them a life of dignity and comfort by becoming a passive adopter and sponsoring their daily care.
"Psst... Sorry to bother you." This is Lakhan, a gentle senior citizen at our Geriatric Centre. He's a good boy who just wants some nice pets and a sponsor to support his retirement.
Meet senior boy Babloo! He's working on shedding a few pounds with his daily walks and is looking for a passive adopter who can spoil him a little with their support.
This is our sweet girl Tahira. She has a slight twitch in her jaw from an old injury but is a healthy and happy 7-year-old. She loves getting pet and is looking for a sponsor to support her care at our MGC.
Aruna is a 6-year-old tripod girl who is a bit shy but has a heart full of love. Sponsoring her means you can visit her on weekends and help this sweet indie dog come out of her shell.
Bhaskar is a visually impaired senior dog who was ill-treated in his community. Now he is safe with us, but he needs a passive adopter to sponsor his care and ensure he lives his remaining years in peace.
Jackie, an 8-year-old senior boy, knows how to steal hearts with his handshake. He is looking for a forever home to enjoy his retirement, but would also love a sponsor while he waits.
"I'm Lakhan, a senior citizen who lives at CUPA MGC, and I'm now over 10 years old!" This wise old soul has a smile that can light up any room.
About this collection
Passive adoption is not just a donation. It is a commitment to the long-term well-being of a specific senior dog or cat, covering their specialized diet, chronic medication for conditions like arthritis, and the daily care provided by our MGC team, with the added benefit of weekend visitation rights.
Life at the CUPA Geriatric Centre
Our Geriatric Centre (MGC) in Mylappanahalli, Bengaluru, serves as a safe haven for senior, disabled, and special-needs animals who have been abandoned, abused, or simply forgotten due to their age. While puppies and young dogs often find homes quickly, our seniors—like Lakhan, Tahira, and Bhaskar—often wait much longer for the love they deserve.
What Passive Adoption Covers
When you passively adopt a resident, you aren't just sending money; you are funding the reality of aging for a rescue animal. Your contribution directly covers:
- Dietary Needs: Soft, nutritious food tailored for older digestive systems.
- Chronic Medication: Daily pain relief for arthritis, supplements for heart health, and specialized care for conditions like visual impairment.
- Hygiene and Comfort: Daily cleaning of living quarters, grooming, and comfortable bedding in our dry, secure kennels.
- Medical Monitoring: Routine weight checks and mobility assessments by our on-site veterinarians.
Why Your Support Matters
We believe in science, not fear. We know that aging animals require patience and specialized attention. By sponsoring a senior, you allow us to maintain a high standard of living for those who cannot easily transition to a standard home environment. As a sponsor, you also gain exclusive access to visit your adopted senior during weekends. This human connection is vital; it keeps our dogs socialized, happy, and feeling loved. Whether it is a senior Indie with a limp or a blind dog who just wants a gentle hand to guide him, your support ensures their golden years are peaceful, safe, and filled with affection.
