A Glimpse into Foster Life
Fostering is more than just providing a safe space. It is where a scared rescue dog finally learns to trust, plays for the first time, and starts to heal. Here is a look at the daily reality of what it means to be a foster parent for our rescues in Bangalore.
One of the best perks of fostering for us? You get to enjoy cartoon time with your foster dog! Here's a sweet moment from one of our foster homes.
We welcome little Missy, a 2 year old pug rescued after being abandoned. She's settling into her foster home, showing off her playful side and giving her foster parents lots of entertainment.
This is what we mean when we say fostering saves lives. Luna the husky, recovering from trauma in a calm, beautiful foster home with a foster sibling. This is where the healing happens.
A typical day in the life of a foster pug. Just look at that face! Our foster homes provide all the blankets and cozy spots a dog could ever want.
Just a regular day with foster dog Teddy the Shih Tzu. He loves following his foster mom around the house. It's these simple moments that help a rescue dog feel secure and loved.
Senior puppy Charlie demanding some butt scratches and lots of love from his foster mom. Fostering isn't just about providing a roof; it's about providing affection and comfort.
Who do you think is taking a nap? A happy foster dog, safe and sound in their temporary home. This is the peace of mind you give a dog when you open your home.
About this collection
Every foster home we rely on is a vital part of our rescue network. When you bring a dog into your home, you are not just offering shelter, you are the person responsible for their daily medicine, managing their fresh, meat-based diet, and helping them learn basic manners. It is real, hands-on work that directly prepares these animals for their permanent families.
Fostering transforms a dog's life, but it requires patience and a real commitment. We do not operate a shelter, so every animal we save depends entirely on someone opening their home.
The Daily Reality of Fostering
When you foster with us, you are the primary caregiver. This involves preparing fresh, meat-based meals every day as we have a strict no-kibble policy. For our medical rescues, it also means following vet protocols, such as administering medication, cleaning wounds, or ensuring a dog with epilepsy stays calm and secure.
Why We Have a No-Cage Policy
We believe dogs deserve freedom, not confinement. Our rescues are often traumatized or coming from rough backgrounds, and they need to feel safe to heal. We require our foster homes to provide access to furniture and living spaces, avoiding kennels or caging entirely. This allows the dogs to decompress, learn how to walk on a leash, and understand what it is like to be part of a family again.
How We Support You
You are never figuring this out alone. We cover 100 percent of the costs for vet visits, medications, and specialized diets. Whether you are fostering a senior dog in hospice or a pup recovering from tick fever, we provide the guidance, financial backing, and medical resources you need. If you have questions about medical protocols or just need advice on a difficult day, we are just a call away.
PL Paws
We are a group of volunteers in Bangalore, not a facility with cages. We rely entirely on people like you opening their homes to get rescues off the streets and into safe environments. We are here to support you through every step, whether you are taking in a senior dog or a pup recovering from surgery.
