Adoption and Releases
Every animal we rescue carries a story, and our goal is always a happy ending, whether that means returning them to their territory or finding them a forever family.
Release day. This is the moment all our hard work pays off. Watching a healed animal return to their familiar territory, happy and free from pain, is the best reward.
About Happy Tails: Adoptions & Releases
We do not just hand over a pet. We conduct thorough screening for adoptions because our goal is a permanent match, not a temporary fix. If you are looking to bring an Indie into your life, expect a conversation about your lifestyle, your home, and your commitment to this new family member.
Adoption is a big step, and we want to get it right. Our adoption process prioritizes the dog’s safety and long-term happiness. We look for homes that understand the unique personality of Indie dogs. Most of our rescues are survivors of rough street life in Bangalore. They are resilient, street-smart, and deeply loyal once they trust you. If adoption is not possible for you, you can still support our work by sponsoring a release. Release day is when a healed animal returns to their territory, vibrant and healthy. It is a win for the whole neighborhood. Whether you are ready to adopt or just want to help a survivor, talk to us. We need dedicated foster homes as much as permanent ones. If you have space in your heart and home, we have a friend waiting for you.
