Handstands are more than just a party trick. They are the ultimate test of balance, core strength, and shoulder stability. Whether you are aiming for your first hold or looking to master control on parallettes, we get you upside down safely.

From wall-assisted holds to freestanding handstands and parallette work, we teach a full progression. This training builds the core stability and balance required for any advanced physical performance.

Our coaches provide spotting and feedback to help students find their balance and alignment in a handstand. This attention to detail ensures skills are built on a solid and safe foundation.

Handstand training is a staple in our Parkour Fitness program. It's a versatile exercise that builds strength and control, beneficial for actors of all fitness levels preparing for a physical role.

A look at our handstand class, where students work on freestanding holds with coach assistance. This develops the confidence and control needed to perform under pressure on a film set.

We use the wall, parallettes, and open floor space to teach handstand variations. This variety keeps the training engaging and builds a well-rounded set of skills for balance and inversion.

A typical handstand session at the Faktory. We focus on proper form and gradual progression, ensuring everyone can work on this foundational skill at their own pace.

This video shows different stages of handstand training, from wall support to using parallettes. It's a core part of our curriculum for building the body control needed for stunt work.

About Handstand & Inversion Training

We don't just kick up and hope for the best. At the Faktory, we break the handstand down into a strict, progressive system. We start with wall-assisted drills to build shoulder confidence, move to parallette work to save your wrists, and finally teach you how to bail safely so the fear of falling doesn't stop your progress.

Why We Do Handstands

People think handstands are just for gymnasts, but they are a fundamental movement skill. If you can control your body while inverted, you gain a level of proprioception that carries over to every other discipline—be it calisthenics, parkour, or even just daily agility.

Our Process at the Faktory

We train on Fridays at 7:30 AM and 6:30 PM because consistency is key. Our sessions are not about maxing out reps; they are about technique.

  • The Wall is Your Friend: We don't rush the freestanding hold. We use the wall to teach you proper stacking of the wrists, elbows, and shoulders.
  • Parallette Mastery: Using parallettes reduces wrist strain, allowing you to train longer and focus on the balance point rather than fighting joint pain.
  • Safe Bailing: The biggest barrier to a good handstand is the fear of falling. We teach you how to cartwheel out of a fall, giving you the confidence to push your balance point without hesitation.

Fitness as a Byproduct

Arre, you will get strong, but that is not why we are here. You are here to learn to move your body in new ways. By the time you are holding a consistent handstand, your shoulders will be bulletproof, and your core will be rock solid, but you will have achieved that by focusing on the skill, not the burn. If you can eat, you can train. Come as you are, and we will help you find your balance.

I started the Faktory because I wanted a space for real movement, not just another gym. I believe anyone can learn to move their body—even upside down—if you break the fear and follow the right steps.
