Getting upside down is where the real fun starts. Whether you are a total beginner or working on your hold time, we use wall drills and consistent spotting to help you find your balance and build serious core strength.

The back handspring is a powerful move that starts with a solid handstand position. Here, I'm spotting students as they work on this skill, focusing on balance and explosive power.

Handstand drills are a daily practice at our academy. I work with each student to improve their alignment and hold time, building the foundational strength needed for almost every other gymnastics skill.

Our gymnastics family is always growing. Here, you can see me assisting a student with a back roll to handstand, while another student in the background holds a perfect headstand split.

Leading by example is important. Here, the kids watch as I demonstrate a headstand variation, showing them the focus and control required for balance skills.

Headstands are a great way to build neck and shoulder strength. This student is practicing a pincha mayurasana variation, showing excellent balance and flexibility.

In our group settings, I give each child individual attention. Here, I'm helping a young student find her balance in a headstand, while others watch and learn.

Correcting form is key to building a strong and safe handstand. I'm adjusting this student's alignment to help her hold the position with more stability and confidence.

This is a great moment of peer learning and instruction. I'm showing a young student how to balance in a headstand, and her friends are watching intently, ready for their turn.

We also encourage students to help each other. Here, one student provides support for her friend's headstand, fostering a sense of teamwork and responsibility.

Handstands are more fun with friends. Our students are practicing their wall-assisted handstands together, building strength and endurance while motivating each other.

About Upside Down World: Handstands & Drills

We do not just ask you to kick up and hope for the best. I personally spot every student, helping you understand how to align your shoulders and engage your core before you ever try a free-standing hold. It is all about control, not just gravity.

Building a solid handstand is not just about arm strength. It is a full-body discipline that starts with safe, repetitive drills. At our Banashankari and RR Nagar facilities, we use a step-by-step approach to get you comfortable being inverted.

We start with wall-assisted holds to help you understand the correct alignment of your wrists, elbows, and shoulders. Once you build confidence, we move to free-standing practice where I personally provide the spotting needed to prevent falls and correct your posture. We also include headstand variations to strengthen the neck and upper back, which are essential for long-term progress.

Our classes run in an industrial warehouse setting, providing the space and equipment like crash mats and EVA flooring that you need to push your limits safely. Whether you are a 4-year-old taking your first tumble or an adult working on your gymnastics technique, the goal remains the same: progress over perfection. As we say in the gym, hogli hogli (just let it go) and keep trying. With consistent attendance and our team's guidance, that elusive balance will eventually feel natural.

I am Ramesh, but most people here just call me Sensei. I started this academy to give everyone the wings to fly, from tiny tots to adults. My goal is to get you past the feeling of 'impossible' and into a state where you are comfortable being upside down.
