About this collection
Training for the stage is different than training in a park. I push students to perform in front of crowds during our annual belt examinations and live shows. You learn to handle nerves, execute moves under bright lights, and show your strength to an audience.
I started Chang Lean to build more than just fitness. My students train for results. When you step onto a stage for a competition or a live performance, you need more than just technique. You need to control your body and your mind.
How we prepare for the stage
- Live Performance Practice: We do not just train indoors. My students perform at events in Bengaluru, where they learn to handle the pressure of an audience.
- Belt Examinations: Every year, we conduct formal belt examinations. This gives my students a goal to work toward and a reason to perfect their form. It is where their hard work meets recognition.
- Body Language: For those interested in cinema and stunt work, I teach how to carry yourself on camera and on stage. It is about confidence as much as it is about flipping.
Why compete
Competition is the fastest way to learn. It forces you to improve your precision. Whether it is a backflip, an aerial, or a full tumbling combination, doing it in front of judges or a crowd changes how you approach the move. We train at Kuvempu Rangamandira Park and my Basaveshwara Nagar center, and I expect the same energy whether you are practicing alone or performing for a crowd. Practice is the only way to get here.
