About National Champions in the Making
Getting a medal at the ISSO Nationals isn't about luck—it's about the hours spent on the foam pit and perfecting that landing long after others have gone home. If you or your child is serious about competitive gymnastics, you need to know that this path demands a high-frequency, 5-6 day commitment, intense apparatus drills, and the mental resilience to handle high-pressure mock meets before stepping onto the real competition floor.
The Path to the Podium
Competitive gymnastics at Epic Academy is for the athlete who wants to move beyond recreation. We don't sugarcoat the process: it is physically demanding and requires discipline. We train for meets like the ISSO and IGCI, which means our sessions are structured to build endurance, power, and technical precision.
What Training Looks Like
Unlike recreational batches, our competitive program operates with a low 1:5 coach-to-student ratio. This ensures every movement—from a Kip on the bars to a Tsukahara on the vault—is spotted correctly and corrected instantly.
- Apparatus Focus: We work on high-stakes skills including aerials, back tucks, and advanced flight series on the high beam.
- Conditioning: You cannot perform if you cannot hold your own weight. We utilize wall bars and targeted resistance training to ensure the core strength required for competitive maneuvers.
- Mental Resilience: Competition isn't just physical. We run mock in-house meets to simulate pressure, teaching gymnasts to handle nerves and perform when it counts.
Is This Right for Your Child?
We look for consistency and drive. Whether your child is aiming for U11 or U14 categories, the prerequisites are fundamental mastery and the willingness to fail, get back up, and try again. If you are ready to put in the work, I am ready to push you to reach your full potential on the national circuit.
