Specialized Hospital Design for Pediatric & Neonatal Units
We design pediatric and neonatal care environments that prioritize emotional safety, integrating calming aesthetics to reduce clinical anxiety for both patients and families.
For this neonatal intensive care unit, we used soft, compassionate imagery and integrated advanced medical technology. The design celebrates new life and provides a supportive, hopeful environment for families and newborns.
This neonatal unit showcases our technology-integrated smart design. Each station is equipped with advanced monitoring systems, while the overall environment is softened with gentle murals to reduce stress for parents and staff.
This pediatric play and waiting area at Yashoda Medicity uses colorful, friendly animal graphics and a rainbow-themed fence. The design creates a cheerful and engaging environment to make the hospital experience less intimidating for children.

This pediatric waiting area at Sarvesh Health City features a large window for natural light and a charming wall mural. The comfortable, low-to-the-ground seating is scaled for children and their families.
This waiting lounge for a pediatric or maternity ward uses soft pink sofas and a gentle deer mural. The design creates a warm, nurturing atmosphere for mothers, children, and families.
The same waiting area is shown with orange sofas, demonstrating how color can be used to create different moods. The consistent theme of nature and comfort provides a reassuring environment for families.

About Specialized Care Environments
We prioritize neuro-aesthetics in our specialized care designs to mitigate the inherent stress of clinical environments. By selecting specific color palettes and integrating non-intrusive, playful graphic elements, we help pediatric patients feel at ease, which significantly lowers anxiety levels and supports better patient outcomes.
Creating environments for sensitive populations requires a departure from standard, sterile clinical layouts. Our approach is grounded in evidence-based design (EBD), where every spatial decision is driven by the goal of humanizing the healthcare experience.
In our pediatric and neonatal units, we focus on several key pillars:
- Cognitive Comfort: For children, hospitals are often perceived as intimidating. We use thematic elements, such as friendly nature-inspired murals and appropriately scaled furniture, to transition the space from an institutional facility into an engaging, non-threatening environment.
- Parent and Caregiver Support: We recognize that these units serve the family as much as the patient. Our layouts include thoughtfully arranged seating and quiet corners that provide necessary privacy and comfort for exhausted parents, acknowledging the role of the caregiver in the healing journey.
- Technology Integration: In neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), the density of medical equipment can be overwhelming. We utilize strategic joinery and concealed utility planning to ensure that life-saving technology is present and accessible for staff but visually softened for families, maintaining a calm atmosphere.
- Operational Flow: Despite the focus on aesthetics, we maintain strict adherence to medical zoning. We ensure that workflows for doctors and nurses remain efficient, creating a seamless connection between the patient bed and essential support services.
Projects like Yashoda Medicity and Sarvesh Health City demonstrate this philosophy, where we have successfully balanced the high-tech requirements of modern medicine with a compassionate, human-centric design language.
