About Young Champions: Coaching for Kids (Age 5+)

Basics are everything. When a 5-year-old walks into our nets, we don't start with heavy bats or power hitting. We start with the stance—holding the bat straight, keeping the head still, and finding balance. We use shadow drills and lighter balls to build muscle memory so children don't develop bad habits early on. If your child is just starting, we focus on making those basic movements feel natural and correct, not forced.
