About The Young Cubs: Starting Early
It is not just about swinging a bat. At this stage, we prioritize basic motor skills like hand-eye coordination, balance, and stance. We use soft balls and specialized drills to build confidence before introducing the technical rigour of leather ball cricket, ensuring every child feels safe and capable on the field.
Why Start Young?
Cricket, like any skill, is built on the basics. Our Cubs program for children under 6 focuses on establishing that foundation early. When kids learn the correct stance, grip, and movement patterns from the start, they avoid developing bad habits that are difficult to unlearn later.
The Cubs Curriculum
We follow our 'ABC of Cricket' methodology. This isn't about playing long matches; it is about:
- Motor Skills: Agility ladder drills and cone sprints to improve speed and balance.
- Hand-Eye Coordination: Safe, soft-ball catching drills to teach kids how to track the ball.
- Basic Technique: Learning the 'A B C' of batting—stance, top-hand dominance, and backlift—using tee-cones rather than heavy bowling.
- Confidence: We keep training playful. When a child learns to catch or hits a ball correctly, we celebrate it. This creates a positive association with the sport.
Safe, Professional Environment
Training takes place at our PCL Sports Complex in Sector 143, Noida. We use a mix of hard and synthetic surfaces to ensure consistent bounce, which is crucial for young learners who are still perfecting their timing. Our coaches are trained to handle junior groups, maintaining a high coach-to-student ratio so that your child gets personal attention during every session. We gradually introduce the transition from synthetic to leather balls only once they have mastered the mechanics of movement and impact.
