About Fun & Themed Novelty Cakes
If you have an inside joke or a specific hobby in mind, don't worry about whether it is technically doable. Just send me a photo, a sketch, or even a rough description of what you are imagining, and we will figure out the structure together. I love working on these custom projects because they let me play with the tiny details that make a celebration feel truly yours.
How We Bring Your Idea to Life
When it comes to novelty cakes, the magic is in the details. Whether it is a mini-replica of your boss's office desk complete with edible sticky notes or a detailed kitchen scene, I treat every project as a piece of edible art. I don't use generic templates for these; I build them from scratch.
Sculpting and Structure
Novelty cakes often require a bit of engineering. For complex shapes like gravity-defying designs or specific character scenes, I use a mix of sturdy sponges, chocolate ganache shells, and food-safe structural supports. This ensures your cake survives transport across Mumbai and looks perfect on the display table for the duration of your party.
The Customization Process
- The Concept: Share your theme. Don't worry if it sounds crazy—my best work comes from the wild ideas.
- The Sketch: We decide on the flavor and the scale. I’ll tell you what needs a sturdier sponge versus a lighter, fluffier one.
- The Craft: This is where I start sculpting, airbrushing, or molding the fondant figurines. If you need tiny, hyper-realistic edible props like pizza slices or tools, I make those by hand in my kitchen.
Things to Keep in Mind
Because these designs are labor-intensive, I recommend reaching out with your idea at least a few days before your event. This gives me time to source any specific props or structure pieces needed. Whether it is for a milestone birthday, a farewell, or a bachelor party, my goal is to make something that tastes as good as it looks.
Bomberry Bakes
I'm Prerana, and my kitchen in Mumbai is where these wild ideas come to life. I don't just bake; I sculpt stories, whether it's a tiny replica of your office desk or something a bit naughtier for a party. If you can dream it up, I will find a way to make it taste as good as it looks.
