Women's Self-Defense and Judo Training
We teach leverage, not brute force. Our training focuses on real-world self-defense skills using Judo and BJJ to help you handle situations where strength matters less than technique and presence of mind.
A female student drilling the Drop Seoi Nage (shoulder throw). This technique is particularly effective for a smaller person against a larger attacker, making it a key part of our women's self-defense curriculum.
A self-defense workshop where I demonstrate how to escape from a ground position. We teach practical skills for real-world scenarios, empowering women with the confidence to protect themselves.

About Women's Training & Self-Defense
We don't teach "movie moves" that look good but fail under pressure. In our sessions, you'll learn how to use a larger opponent’s momentum against them—whether it’s a classic hip throw from Judo or a ground escape from BJJ. You’ll be drilling and sparring from day one because feeling the resistance of a real partner is the only way to build the muscle memory you actually need when it counts.
Beyond the Basics: Practical Defense
Self-defense isn't just a class; it's a mindset. When you step onto our 1500 sq ft mat in Sector 38, you aren't just a student—you're a fighter in training. My approach combines the art of Judo (the gentle way) with the technical ground control of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Why these styles work for women:
- Leverage over Force: You don't need to be stronger than your opponent. You need to understand their center of gravity. Judo throws like the Seoi Nage allow a smaller person to neutralise a larger attacker by shifting their balance.
- Ground Survival: Most altercations end up on the ground. Our BJJ sessions teach you how to escape from a bad position, secure your safety, and create distance.
- Conditioning: You will get stronger. We incorporate agility ladders, core work, and functional training to ensure you have the gas to keep moving when things get difficult.
The Reality of Training It is going to be tough. There are no shortcuts. You will sweat, you might get frustrated, and you will fall—that's what the break-fall drills are for. But the goal is to leave the ego at the door and pick up practical skills that stay with you long after you leave the dojo.
Whether you are looking to build confidence, get fighting fit, or simply learn to hold your own, our doors are open. The mat never lies; come see for yourself.
