Before we start, I always look at the fabric sensitivity—we can’t do heavy zardozi on a delicate crepe silk, no? It’s about understanding the material to ensure the embroidery highlights the look without overpowering it. My Design Process: Slow Fashion with Soul
I don't believe in mass production. For me, fashion is a conversation. When you walk into my studio in Nagarbhavi, we don't just pick a design from a catalogue. We chat, we sketch, and we figure out what makes you feel like you.
Whether you need a heavy bridal lehenga, a classy reception gown, or a blouse to match your favourite grandmother's silk saree, I am here to make it happen. I handle the entire process from fabric selection to the final fit, ensuring every stitch is purposeful.
What I Specialise In:
- Hand-Embroidered Blouses: From delicate Aari work to intricate Zardozi, I ensure the embroidery complements the fabric rather than dragging it down. If you have a sensitive fabric, we keep the work light and elegant.
- Custom Gowns & Anarkalis: Need a modern look for a reception? I design gowns that hold their shape and structure, using quality fusing and padding so you look sharp all evening.
- Traditional Half-Sarees (Langa Voni): This is a personal favourite. I love creating these for both brides and young women, focusing on colour combinations that pop and fabric drapes that flow beautifully.
- Coordinated Family Looks: If you want your outfit to match your daughter's or your partner's, I love helping with that. We can coordinate fabrics, embroidery motifs, or just the overall colour theme so your family looks perfectly connected.
A Note on Fittings
I insist on at least two rounds of fittings. My goal is to send you home with an outfit that fits like it was made for you—because it was. No shortcuts, just honest tailoring. If you have a vague idea or even just a mood board, bring it along to the studio. We will figure out the rest together. Super aagide, no?
