Our HYROX Training Method
We don't just work out, we train for the HYROX race format. Our sessions blend running with functional strength, designed to build endurance and power for race day.
So, what is HYROX? It's the ultimate indoor fitness race that combines running and functional workouts to test your endurance, strength, and all-around fitness in one epic event.
The HYROX challenge consists of 8 rounds, each with a 1 km run followed by a functional workout station like sled pushes, rowing, or burpees. That’s a total of 8 km of running and 8 challenging workouts.
Why train for HYROX? It’s a standardized global race format that lets you test yourself, track your progress against athletes worldwide, and join a massive fitness community.
HYROX is for everyone. With categories for Open (beginners), Pro (advanced athletes), Doubles (partners), and Relay Teams, there's a way for anyone to compete and challenge themselves.
This is how we prepare for HYROX. The workout includes specific movements like box step-overs, dumbbell renegade rows, and RDLs, all designed to build race-specific strength.
To improve your performance in HYROX movements like sled pushes, rowing, wall balls, and rope pulls, you need to train the right way. We show you how to build functional strength with smart alternatives.
Our training is designed to build your lungs, muscles, and mental grit. We push your limits in every session to build lasting stamina.
About this collection
You aren't doing random circuits here. Every session is planned to mirror the race format—1km running intervals mixed with heavy sled pushes, rowers, and wall balls. Our coaches monitor your pacing and form under fatigue, ensuring you actually improve your engine rather than just sweating through the hour.
Training with Purpose
At BlackBx, we are an official HYROX training club in Bengaluru, and we treat our programming exactly like a race prep. The HYROX format is 8 rounds of 1km running paired with 8 functional workout stations. Because the race demands both cardiovascular capacity and raw strength, our programming is split to address both.
What You Will Tackle
Expect sessions where you move from the treadmill to the floor. We focus on:
- Compromised Running: We teach you how to maintain your run pace immediately after a heavy leg station. This is the hardest part of the race.
- Functional Mechanics: You will drill the technical movements—sled pushes, farmer’s carries, and wall balls—so you don't waste energy on race day.
- Pacing Strategy: We help you understand when to push and when to settle into a rhythm.
Who This Is For
We designed this for everyone. If you are a total beginner, we help you build the baseline strength needed to survive your first round. If you are an experienced athlete, we focus on shaving seconds off your transitions and improving your power output at each station. You train alongside a crew that encourages, not competes, ensuring you stay consistent with your goals. Our sessions run on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and each one is led by coaches who have run the race themselves.
BlackBx
We built a system for people who are done with mindless gym routines and want actual, measurable progress. We are a crew that pushes harder together, whether you are prepping for your first HYROX race or just want to build serious functional strength.
