About Your First Steps in Tango
In our introductory workshops, you will learn why the follower is just as active as the leader. I do not teach you to wait for a command, but to be present in the embrace. We focus on the 'Tango Walk' and the 'Embrace' first, because without these, the steps are just empty movement.
My teaching follows the TangoShastra method. This is a scientific, step-by-step approach I developed to teach rhythm and technique without the fluff. We strip away the idea that you need to be a performer. You do not need fancy shoes or a partner, as we use a rotating partner system that builds social confidence.
Our sessions in Indiranagar and Koramangala are designed to reduce performance anxiety. We work on biomechanics and internal connection, not rigid choreography. If you feel hesitant, remember that I started this academy because I wanted to build a community, not a dance school. Everyone starts as a beginner, and everyone makes mistakes. The goal is to feel the music, not to mimic a step you saw on video.
