About Wedding Dance Choreography
What Dance Means to Me
I see dance as a quiet chat between two people, not a show for everyone else. Especially with Tango, it’s about feeling connected and moving together. Your first dance should be just for you both - real, intimate, and not about impressing the crowd.
For Non-Dancers (Yes, You!)
Always hear "baba, I can’t dance"? Trust me, most of my couples say that. If you can walk, we’ll get you moving. No need for any experience. My teaching style is super simple - I break everything down so it feels easy and natural. Mistakes are cool, and I’ll be with you, step by step. My own little 'TangoShastra' (my dance guide) will make you feel comfortable.
Your Style, Your Wedding Dance
We’ll choreograph something that suits you, whether it’s your first dance or a group Sangeet routine. I love creating first dance choreography for couples, especially with a touch of Argentine Tango, but we’ll work with your favourite music and vibe. If you want your family and friends to join in, I can set up simple wedding dance steps for everyone.
Easy and Flexible Process
Lessons can happen at my studio in Bangalore, or I’ll come to your place. If you’re somewhere else or short on time, online sessions work too. We’ll focus on partnership, not strict dance roles - both of you will learn to lead and follow. It’s teamwork, just like marriage.
More Than Just Steps
By the end, you’ll have more than a routine - you’ll feel closer to your partner and confident to dance anywhere. It’s not about looking perfect, it’s about feeling connected and telling your story together.

My Story
We’re Tango Academy, not your typical dance school. Started by Roopa Math, who ditched engineering for dance, we’re all about the real heart of Tango. Roopa trained in Buenos Aires, got hooked at her first Milonga, and now she’s back to build a Tango community here. Our classes aren’t about perfection – it’s about feeling the music, connecting, and finding your own groove. Come as you are, no fancy shoes needed.
