There is a unique magic in hearing a story straight from the person who wrote it. Whether it is a debut novel launch or a deep dive into an anthology, we create a space for real conversations and genuine connections with writers.

We love celebrating new voices. Here we are hosting the book launch for 'The BWW Book of Emerging Poets', a wonderful anthology from the Bangalore Writers Workshop.

We believe in sharing powerful and inclusive stories. This is the launch of 'Void Niches', a moving memoir by Sunil Upasana about his journey as a hearing-disabled person.

An informal meet-and-greet with author Abhishek Choudhary. We provide opportunities for readers to chat with authors and get their books signed in a relaxed setting.

An intimate evening with debut author Sonali Prasad for her novel 'Glass Bottom'. We collaborate with publishers like Pan Macmillan India to bring exciting new literary voices to you.

Meet the mind behind the art. We hosted a special book signing with Joshy Benedict, the National Award-winning animator and creator of 'Pannimalathu' (Pig Flip).

Exploring the mental side of sport. The launch of 'Minds in Motion' brought together authors, practitioners, and athletes for a thoughtful conversation on sport psychology in India.

A heartfelt discussion on love, loss, and magical escapes with author Lopa Ghosh for her novel 'Age of Mondays'. Our book talks are a space for deep and engaging conversations.

A candid moment of an author signing books after a session. These personal interactions are what make our events so special for both authors and readers.

The launch of 'Where Hope Hurts' by Ankita M. Hundekar. We are a platform for authors to share stories of pain, resilience, and the quiet strength of words.

Celebrating an award-winning debut novel. We were delighted to host the launch of P. Bhanumathi’s travel fiction 'Miles of Smiles', a book full of humor and heart.

About Meet the Storytellers: Author Launches & Discussions

When you walk in for a launch, do not expect a stiff, formal podium setup. Most of our sessions happen in a cozy, relaxed format where you can sit close, ask real questions, and often grab a signed copy over a cup of coffee. It is less about the celebrity and more about the shared love for the craft, so feel free to come alone or with friends.

Our events in Indiranagar are built around the idea that literature should be accessible and, most importantly, social. We host a wide variety of sessions, ranging from poetry anthologies and political biographies to sensitive memoirs and children's literature.

Why join our sessions?

  • Intimate Environment: You will often find yourself sitting just a few feet away from the author, allowing for genuine interaction rather than a lecture.
  • Diverse Voices: We make a conscious effort to bring in voices from different backgrounds, including regional language writers, debut novelists, and experts in niche fields like sports psychology or history.
  • No Gatekeeping: Whether you have read the book or just heard about the event, you are welcome. We want to hear your thoughts, not just have you listen to ours.

We regularly partner with publishers and collectives to ensure that Bangalore gets first access to meaningful stories. These discussions explore everything from the moral dilemmas in urban survival to the resilience found in personal trauma. If you have been looking to meet the minds behind your favorite books or simply want to discover new writers, check our schedule to see who is dropping by this week.
