Yoga for Real-Life Motherhood
Finding balance doesn't mean waiting for quiet time that never comes. Whether you are pregnant, postpartum, or just a busy mom, my sessions help you weave movement into the chaos.
I waited for my son to start school so I could practice in peace. Now, I wait for Saturdays so he can join me. Motherhood is a journey of shifting perspectives, and I cherish these moments of shared practice, interruptions and all.
This is the reality of an early morning practice for a mom. It's a dance of multitasking, balancing my own needs with my family's. Here's to all the mothers who are chasing their dreams while chasing their babies.
My philosophy is simple: just do it. Do it with them around, do it with them on top of you, do it when they are not around. This video shows how we can adapt our practice, like this bridge pose, to include our children and make it a moment of connection.
We as a society need to stop assuming that mothers will stop dreaming. My practice is a daily reminder to myself and my children that our dreams and passions continue to grow, even as our families do.
Your body is your home. It has carried you, and it may have carried your babies. This wide-legged forward fold is a way to come back to yourself, even with your child playing nearby. We practice loving and accepting our home, just as it is.
Stronger together. My weekends are often filled with moments like this, a shared handstand practice against the wall with my two boys. It’s a playful way to connect and show them the joy of movement and strength.
Here's to all the moms trying to do what they love. Whether it's a full practice or just a few moments of stretching like this happy baby pose, every bit counts. This is a collection of real moments from my mat.
About this collection
My practice is not about finding a silent studio or getting the pose perfect. It is about how we modify the flow when your little one is crawling on your mat or when you only have twenty minutes before the school run. I show you how to use household items like cushions or chairs for support, turning your living room into a space where you can actually breathe and heal, not just perform.
How We Adapt to Your Life
Yoga for mothers, whether prenatal or postpartum, looks different every single day. My sessions are built around this reality. We focus on what your body needs in this exact phase—be it pelvic floor strengthening, Diastasis Recti (abdominal gap) recovery, or simply managing the anxiety that often comes with new motherhood.
What We Work On
- Prenatal Care: We focus on safe movement to manage nausea, pelvic opening, and building the physical stamina you need for labor.
- Postpartum Recovery: We prioritize healing. I teach gentle, controlled movements that help repair core strength and release the tension held in the shoulders and neck from carrying infants.
- Breathwork (Pranayama): This is the anchor. When the baby is crying or the house is noisy, these simple breathing techniques help regulate your nervous system and bring you back to a place of calm.
The 'Real Life' Philosophy
I offer 1-on-1 private sessions that allow for maximum flexibility. If you need to stop to feed the baby, we stop. If you have a bad day and can only do seated stretches, that is all we do. My goal is to make yoga a sustainable habit for you, not another task on your to-do list. We practice 'Santosh Param Sukham'—finding contentment exactly where you are, in whatever clothes you happen to be wearing.
If you are in Delhi NCR, we can look at home visits, or we can connect over a video call from anywhere. No fancy setup is required.

I’m Suhani. My mat has seen it all—toys scattered, restless nights, and those precious, messy moments with my two boys. I don’t teach perfection; I teach how to carve out space for yourself when your hands are full.
