Monthly Karate & Fitness Training
Core Training Schedule
- Frequency: 3 classes per week (approx. 12 sessions per month).
- Duration: 60 minutes per session.
- Format: Large group batches (20+ students) focusing on community learning.
- Style: Shotokan/Shito-ryu Karate blended with functional fitness.
Specialized Workshops
- Gymnastics: 2 sessions per month focusing on flexibility, cartwheels, and agility on mats.
- Weapons (Kobudo): 2 sessions per month teaching Nunchaku handling (Foam for beginners, wood/metal for advanced).
Progress & Development
- Grading: Preparation for quarterly or bi-annual belt exams.
- Competition: Eligibility for academy squad selection for District and State tournaments.
- Etiquette: Focus on dojo discipline, respect, and focus drills.
One-Time Registration & Starter Kit
Essential Gear
- Uniform: 1 set of official white Karate Gi (Jacket, Trousers, White Belt).
- Branding: Embroidered academy logo patch.
- Material: Standard poly-cotton suitable for regular training.
Administrative
- Membership: Lifetime registration fee (allows branch/batch transfer).
- Identity: Student ID card issuance.
- Syllabus: Access to curriculum structure for the first belt level.
Important Note
- Sparring Gear: Advanced protective gear (gloves, guards) is not included and is purchased separately at Orange/Green belt levels.
Seasonal Holiday Camp (Summer/Winter)
Camp Structure
- Duration: 3 to 4 weeks (Monday to Friday).
- Daily Load: 90 to 120 minutes of intensive physical activity per day.
Activity Mix
- Kickboxing: High-energy bag work and shadow boxing drills.
- Gymnastics: Introduction to rolls, jumps, and balancing drills.
- Self-Defense: Situational awareness and escape techniques.
- Recreation: Relay races, tug-of-war, and coordination games.
Deliverables
- Recognition: Participation certificate upon completion.
- Showcase: End-of-camp skill demonstration for parents.
- Pathway: Priority entry into the regular belt system post-camp.

Why I Teach Martial Arts to Kids
Karate is more than kicks and punches in my academy. It's about helping kids grow up strong inside and out. I always say, hands hechu full hero thara bandu peace madodu vasi (come with strength, make peace like a true hero). I want every child to feel confident, focused, and respectful—skills that matter on and off the mat.
What Classes Look Like
Kids can start as young as 3 or 4. Our sessions mix things up:
- Karate basics, advanced Kata, and sparring
- Real-world self-defense training for young kids
- Fitness drills, gymnastics, and even some yoga for stretching and calm
- A clear belt system with regular exams and graduation moments that even make me swell with pride
Action-Filled Camps
Our summer martial arts camps for children keep holidays lively. Camps blend karate, kickboxing, gymnastics, and self-defense in a safe, friendly setting. Ages 3+, all energy levels welcome.
More Than Medals
Some kids just want to learn, others dream big. I coach for both. For those chasing medals, we prep hard for martial arts tournaments for juniors at district, state, and global levels. But honestly, the real win is seeing shy kids become bold and disciplined.

My Story
Hi, we’re AK Martial Arts and Fitness Academy. Karate’s not just sport for us, it’s family. Our founder, Shihan Ashish Kumar, lives and breathes this art - 5th Dan Black Belt, Bruce Lee award winner, international medals, you name it. But honestly, our biggest joy? Watching our karatekas grow, smash belt tests, and celebrate wins together. Every student’s success feels like a win for us all. We train, we cheer, we rise up as one.
