Advanced Yoga Training for Strength and Flexibility
I believe yoga is about using the body to discipline the mind. These photos show the functional strength, mobility, and control we build in my classes, from stable inversions to deep backbends.
This is the kind of strength and balance we work towards. A handstand split requires a strong core, open hips, and complete focus. My classes provide the drills and techniques to build up to advanced inversions like this safely.
This is a glimpse into my online advanced yoga class. I give direct, real-time feedback to each student, correcting their alignment in complex poses like this seated leg-behind-head variation. It's personal training, even in a group setting.
We use props not as a crutch, but as a tool to unlock new levels of strength and flexibility. Here, a student uses a bench to support a deep backbend and transition into a challenging scorpion handstand, building incredible spinal mobility and arm strength.
I believe in breaking down complex poses into simple, manageable steps. This guide for Salamba Sirsasana, or Tripod Headstand, shows the exact progression I teach to build confidence and ensure you learn inversions with the correct form from day one.
This sequence shows the journey into a deep backbend, moving from a standing drop-back to a full forearm wheel pose. My training focuses on this kind of dynamic control, linking breath with movement to open up the body.
Achieving the full Hanumanasana, or monkey pose, is a major goal for many advanced practitioners. This video demonstrates the final expression of the pose, which we build towards with targeted hip and hamstring flexibility drills.
Using a strap is an intelligent way to deepen your practice safely. In this Anjaneyasana variation, the strap helps to open the shoulders and deepen the backbend without forcing, teaching the body to create space gradually.
This is me in a deep variation of Dhanurasana, or Bow Pose. I practice what I teach, and my own journey helps me guide you through the challenges and breakthroughs in your advanced practice.
About Featured
When you watch these videos, you see the final pose, but my classes focus on the journey to get there. We work on each part of the body individually. If you struggle with a deep backbend or need stability in a handstand, we use specific drills and props to unlock that range of motion safely, so you never have to guess about your alignment.
You will not find generic flows here. My training centers on technical progression, whether you are joining my online groups or private home sessions in Gurugram. We break down complex asanas like Hanumanasana or Sirsasana into manageable steps.
Why this approach works:
- Props for support: We use blocks, straps, and yoga wheels to help you feel the correct alignment before you push your limits. These are not crutches; they are tools to help you understand your body.
- Real-time feedback: In my online batches, I watch your movement on camera. I give verbal corrections to ensure your joints are safe and your core is engaged. You are not just following a video; you are being guided.
- Functional progression: True strength is not just force. We build the control needed for inversions and the flexibility required for deep spinal work. We also incorporate Ashtanga and Vinyasa techniques to keep your practice dynamic.
Whether you are a teacher looking to sharpen your cues, or a practitioner ready to move past a plateau, the curriculum adapts to your current level. If you have questions about whether your mobility is ready for these advanced flows, message me for a free demo session. Let's work on your practice, part by part.
