About Modern Gowns & Draped Sarees
Getting the fit right for a gown or a draped saree is all about the internal structure. Whether it is adding corset boning for that perfect shape or layering hard net for the right volume, I pay attention to what goes inside the garment so you can move and dance with total ease.
When I work on a reception gown or a draped saree, my goal is simple. It should look striking but feel natural on you. Many people ask me how to get that flow in a reception gown without feeling weighed down. The secret is in the layering. For gowns, I use premium hard net for the can-can volume and insert boning in the bodice to make sure it holds shape throughout the evening. You do not have to keep pulling at your dress.
If we are talking about draped sarees, it is a different game. I often use organza or soft net to ensure the drape falls beautifully, and I incorporate corset panels if you want that cinched-in look. For Christian weddings, lace and tulle are my favorites. I take time with the fitting process, adjusting the neckline and sleeve length until it aligns with your body type. We do not just stitch fabric. We build the support you need.
