Finding a gown that balances Indian elegance with a contemporary silhouette is rare. I design fluid pieces that move with you, perfect for receptions, parties, or any grand evening.

About Modern Gowns & Anarkalis

For my reception gowns and Anarkalis, I focus heavily on structural integrity. I incorporate bodice boning into the design, which ensures the gown holds its shape while remaining comfortable for you to wear through a long event. It is a subtle detail, but it changes how the fabric drapes and how you carry yourself.

When I sit down to design a gown or Anarkali with a client, the first thing we look at is movement. My goal is to create something that feels like an extension of you, not just an outfit you are wearing. Whether we are working with flowing Georgette for a soft look or a structured brocade for something more regal, the fabric choice dictates the personality of the piece.

I often use Chikankari work on lighter Georgette fabrics to give them a delicate quality. For evening events, I prefer incorporating Swarovski crystals or subtle beadwork on the bodice, drawing the eye upwards while keeping the skirt fluid and easy to walk in.

The construction process involves multiple fitting sessions. For a gown to fit perfectly, especially with modern cuts like asymmetrical hemlines or ruffled drapes, the bodice needs to be precise. I use built-in padding and structural boning, which eliminates the need for uncomfortable undergarments and lets you focus on enjoying your occasion.

If you have a specific vision in mind, bring your references to my Panduranga Nagar studio. We will sketch the design, select the fabric, and plan the embroidery together. These pieces typically take time to perfect, so I recommend reaching out a few weeks before your event to ensure we can dedicate the necessary time to every stitch.
