About Outfits for the Little Ones
Choosing outfits for kids involves balancing style with comfort. My priority is ensuring fabrics like soft silk or satin are skin-friendly, avoiding scratchy materials on the inside, and making sure the embroidery is sturdy but soft.
Designing for kids is a delicate balance. You want them to look festive, but they also need to be able to move and play without getting fussy. I often use raw silk for traditional sets like Jubba and Kacche because it holds its shape while staying gentle on a toddler's skin. For girls, I focus on satin frocks with simple bows or handmade rosettes that do not weigh them down.
One big part of my process is family coordination. If you are ordering bridal or reception wear, I can create a miniature version of the same design for your son or daughter. This creates a cohesive look for family photos without compromising on the comfort of the child. I hand-stitch all the embellishments so there are no loose threads or scratchy backs to irritate the skin. Fittings are essential here too.
