About this collection

In our 3-hour introductory workshop, we focus on the experience of moving from a simple ball of clay to a structured form. We guide you through the process of prepping the mitti, centering it on the wheel, and pulling walls to create your first bowl or cup. You are not just watching a demo; you are getting your hands dirty and actively shaping your own work under our guidance.

What to Expect

This is a hands-on session designed for complete beginners. You do not need to bring anything; we provide the studio aprons, tools, and unlimited practice clay during your time here.

The Process:

  • Clay Prep: You start by learning to wedge the clay, which removes air bubbles and prepares the texture.
  • Wheel Throwing: This is the core of the session. We teach you how to center the clay, open the dome, and pull the walls into a cylinder.
  • Hand-Building: If the wheel feels intimidating, we offer guidance on hand-building techniques to help you shape your piece.

Practical Details

  • Firing Fees: The workshop price covers the session and practice clay. Since the firing process requires our in-house kiln operation, there is a separate nominal baking fee (approx. INR 300 to INR 500 per piece) if you choose to make your items permanent.
  • Timeline: Because we fire your pieces in our own kiln, please note that it takes 3 to 4 weeks for your finished items to be ready for collection. This allows us to ensure proper drying and temperature control.

Who This Is For

Whether you are looking for a weekend creative outlet, a fun solo activity, or a chance to learn a new skill with friends, our studio offers a welcoming space to learn without the pressure of perfection. We believe in embracing the cracks and learning from mistakes.
