Our Recognition & Design Conversations
We've always believed that architecture is a conversation. Here's a look at some of the publications and forums where we've shared our ideas and connected with the wider design community.

About Recognition & Conversations
Being featured in the Harvard GSD book 'Architectures of Transition' was a big moment for us. It really wasn't about the accolade itself, but more about the chance to join a wider conversation with other practices across the subcontinent about how our buildings can actually respond to our local climate and culture rather than just looking good on a page.
For us, architecture isn't just about the finished project—it's about the ideas that get us there. We often find that the most rewarding part of our work is stepping back from the drawing board to discuss the 'why' and 'how' with peers. Whether it’s contributing to the Harvard GSD project exploring emergent practices in South Asia or speaking at IIDA summits, these opportunities allow us to keep learning and questioning our own assumptions.
We don't really view these mentions as trophies. Instead, we see them as part of a continuous loop of feedback and growth. When we talk about our work, we’re usually focusing on the practical challenges—like how to handle monsoon drainage, how to make a school feel safe without building a fortress, or how to design a clinic that doesn't feel clinical. These conversations help us refine our own approach, ensuring that when we sit down with you to design your space, we’re bringing in the latest thinking from the field alongside the hands-on experience we’ve gained over the years.
Kamat & Rozario Architecture
We’re Kamat & Rozario, and for us, architecture is about more than awards or publications. It's about building spaces that feel human. We’re just happy to be part of the ongoing conversation about design in South Asia.
