Harmonious Wedding Looks for Couples
I specialize in designing outfits that celebrate your connection. From traditional ceremonies to modern receptions, I create balanced, complementary looks that tell your story without being overly matched.
For this South Indian wedding, I designed the groom's off-white and gold embroidered sherwani and dhoti to perfectly complement the bride's traditional gold Kanjivaram saree, creating a timeless and regal look for their special day.
This image captures the essence of a traditional South Indian ceremony. I dressed the groom in a simple, elegant silk dhoti and angavastram (shawl), a classic look that respects heritage and pairs beautifully with the bride's vibrant red saree.
Here, the groom wears a custom purple kurta with delicate silver embroidery around the neckline. The color was chosen to coordinate with the bride's magnificent pink Kanchi lehenga, creating a visually stunning pair.
For a glamorous evening reception, I designed this matching set. The groom's textured navy blue bandhgala jacket was crafted to mirror the sparkle and color of the bride's custom corset gown.
This couple chose a modern look for their proposal photoshoot. The groom's custom purple bandhgala jacket with its unique silver embroidery makes a bold statement next to his partner's elegant gold gown.
I designed this groom's light mint green bandhgala suit to create a fresh and modern color story with the bride's orange and green saree. This is a great example of coordinating colors without matching them exactly.
This happy couple showcases a soft and romantic look. The groom's simple white kurta is layered with a light pink embroidered jacket, designed to pick up the pastel tones in his partner's beautiful saree.
About this collection
The key to a great coordinated look isn't wearing the exact same color—it’s finding balance in texture and tone. When you visit my Sanjayanagara studio, we don't just pick fabrics; we look at your partner's attire to ensure your embroidery motifs or silk borders complement their outfit's aesthetic rather than clashing with it.
How We Create Your Look
Coordination starts with understanding the scale of your event. Whether you are planning a traditional South Indian wedding ceremony or a modern evening reception in Bangalore, the fabrics and silhouettes must work together. For traditional ceremonies, I often pair heavy Kanchi silk borders on a groom’s sherwani with the bride’s Kanjivaram saree, ensuring the zari tones match perfectly.
The Process
- Consultation: We discuss your wedding theme and color palette first.
- Design Selection: We choose materials—from raw silk and matka to poly-wool for reception suits—that suit your comfort and the event’s formality.
- Fittings: My process involves 2-3 rounds of fittings. This is critical for getting the dhoti drape or the bandhgala structure right, ensuring you are comfortable for the duration of the event.
I focus on creating an ensemble that feels like you. If you prefer a modern twist, I design Indo-Western sets, like layered kurtas with embroidered jackets, that harmonize with your partner's gown or lehenga. My goal is to ensure you both look put-together, confident, and distinctly stylish, without relying on standard, pre-made matches.
