When I design for couples, I focus on colours and fabrics that complement each other without looking like a costume. Whether you want a sharp blazer for him that matches the embroidery on her gown or a subtle fusion look for a casual outdoor shoot, we will make sure your outfits feel connected. It is all about finding that balance—swalpa (a little) planning goes a long way to make sure you both look like a team while staying true to your own style.
Designing for pre-wedding shoots or events is one of my favourite parts of the job. It is not just about matching colours; it is about creating a visual story. I often work with couples to pick fabrics that photograph well in different light, like rich velvets for evening shoots or airy crepes for daytime locations around Bangalore.
What we cover
I handle everything from sharp blazers and kurtas for men to flowy gowns, sarees, and fusion sets for women. We start with your venue and vibe. Is it a rustic garden shoot? A regal indoor setting? That dictates the fabric and the work.
The process
You do not have to settle for off-the-rack outfits that do not fit quite right. I stitch these from scratch. For grooms, I include structural fusing for that crisp, premium look in photos. For brides, we ensure the fit is perfect for movement, so you can focus on the camera, not your dress. You can bring your own inspiration photos, or we can look through my fabric collection at the boutique in Naagarabhaavi. We will find a common thread—a shade, a pattern, or a fabric style—to tie your looks together effortlessly.
