Coordinated Couple Attire
I love creating outfits that make couples look like they were made for each other. My coordinated sets blend traditional elegance with matching details, ensuring you both shine on your big day.
A fairytale moment at the Bangalore Palace. The groom's cream sherwani with a subtly contrasting pastel pink dhoti and stole was designed to match the delicate, intricate embroidery on the bride's breathtaking saree.
For this garden engagement, I created a stunning floral embroidered sherwani for the groom in shades of pink. It perfectly matched the bride's pastel saree, creating a romantic, coordinated look that felt fresh and modern.
A vision in gold and cream. This couple is the picture of elegance, with the groom in a custom silk kurta and dhoti set, where the gold embroidery and border perfectly echo the tones of the bride's magnificent Kanjivaram saree.
Classic and timeless. The groom’s crisp white kurta-pajama set, accented with a simple red detail, provides a clean, elegant contrast to the bride's traditional red and gold silk saree, proving that sometimes simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
This couple's look is all about understated elegance. The groom wears a textured grey bandhgala sherwani that I designed to coordinate with the silver and lavender tones in his bride's beautiful white saree.
A truly radiant couple. I designed the groom's classic cream and gold silk outfit to complement the bride's vibrant red and gold wedding saree, creating a look that is both traditional and full of joy.
The groom's cream sherwani features subtle self-embroidery and is paired with a soft pink stole, perfectly picking up the colors in his bride's maroon and gold saree for a harmonious and elegant couple portrait.
About this collection
Getting the colors exactly right is the trickiest part of coordinating couple wear. When I work on these sets, I do not just match the base colors of your silk fabrics. I look at the zari, the stone colors in your jewelry, and even the embroidery thread. This ensures that when you stand next to each other for photos, it looks like a unified design rather than two outfits that just happen to look okay together.
When I design for a couple, I think about the full picture. It is not just about the bride wearing a red saree and the groom wearing a red turban. It is about balancing the textures and motifs.
I often start by looking at the bride's Kanjivaram or designer saree. We then pull fabrics for the groom's sherwani or kurta that pick up the specific gold tones or border colors of the saree. If the bride’s blouse has heavy Maggam work, I suggest similar motifs for the groom’s kurta collar or cuffs to keep the design language consistent.
Whether you want a subtle, monochromatic look or something with more contrast, I guide you through the fabric selection. We can work with raw silks, brocades, or velvet. For cross-cultural weddings, I enjoy blending different regional styles into one cohesive aesthetic. If you have an existing piece of jewelry or a specific color palette from your wedding decor, bring that into the conversation. It helps me create something that feels intentional. Every coordinated set I make is fully custom, so we focus on getting the measurements right across both outfits for a flattering fit.
