About The Process: Behind the Scenes

The photos you see on my feed do not show the wind messing up a saree, the light suddenly dying, or us trying to find a changing room in the middle of a Mumbai street. That is the real work. If you want to know what it is actually like to shoot with me—the laughs, the slight panic, and how we fix things on the fly—this is the behind-the-scenes reality.

Every image-maker has a process, and mine is a little unconventional. When we step on set—whether it is a crowded bazaar in Mumbai or a quiet, windswept beach—my priority is not just getting the shot, but making sure you are comfortable enough to actually show your personality.

The Reality of the Shoot

Expect some movement. I am not the photographer who stands still with a tripod. I am usually in the water, dodging traffic, or climbing things to find the right angle. My Sony Alpha 7 IV and Sigma lenses handle the heavy lifting, but the vibe? That comes from us. If we are shooting outdoors, expect to deal with the elements. We will work with the sun, the wind, and whatever the location throws at us. It is chaotic, but it is also where the most authentic photos happen.

My 'Aboulomania' and Your Photos

I am honest about my process—sometimes I get stuck in the selection phase, what I call 'aboulomania'. I struggle to pick between good shots because I treat every image like a small piece of art. This means I take extra time to edit, ensuring you get high-end, retouched images that look like you, not some heavily filtered version of a stranger. Whether we are doing a model portfolio or a simple lifestyle session, the end goal is always the same: a final set of photos that feel real.

I am Anuj. A shoot is my therapy, and I am usually the one standing in the water or dodging traffic to get that one angle. I want to make sure you get photos that actually feel like you, not just a random pose.
