About Behind the Scenes
When you book a shoot, you are not just getting me behind the lens. I always work with a dedicated lighting assistant to make sure we get the right mood, whether we are battling the harsh afternoon sun at a beach or setting up custom studio backdrops in Borivali. This means you do not have to worry about the technical setup, allowing you to just focus on being yourself while we handle the light and composition.
Photography is often seen as just a click, but for me, the real work starts long before the subject walks into the frame. Whether it is sourcing vintage props for a themed kid’s birthday, scouting the perfect quiet corner in a Mumbai garden for a pre-wedding shoot, or spending hours setting up professional lighting in my Borivali studio, every detail is intentional.
I do not believe in forcing poses. Instead, I create environments where you feel comfortable enough to let your guard down. When we shoot outdoors, I am constantly looking for the best angles and natural light, using the city’s unique spots—like local tram lines or vibrant markets—to give your photos a texture you will not find in a generic studio.
For larger productions, I bring along a lighting assistant. This is not just for show; it allows me to stay mobile and focus entirely on your expressions while they manage the equipment. If we are doing a styled milestone shoot, we spend time building a mood board first to ensure the props and background perfectly match your personality. The goal is to make the entire process feel like a collaboration rather than a stiff photography session.
