Behind the Lens: My Photography Process

Photography is more than the final click. It is a rhythm of collaboration, lighting, and quiet observation. Here is a glimpse into how I work with my team to bring a shared vision to life.

Here I am, in my element. This is a candid shot of me during a studio session, completely focused on finding the right angle and capturing the perfect moment.

This video shows my hands-on approach to directing. I believe in creating a comfortable and open environment where clients and models feel guided and understood, which helps in capturing authentic emotions.

About this collection

On set, I do not just stand back and click. Whether we are shooting on a Mumbai beach or in a studio, I am fully hands-on, whether that means fixing garment drapes, adjusting reflectors, or talking through the shot with the talent. If you hire me, you are getting a partner who is deeply invested in the physical setup and the energy of the shoot, not just the technical output.

My approach to photography is rooted in stillness and connection. When you look at these behind-the-scenes moments, you see the process of creating visual harmony. I prioritize natural light or simple, controlled strobe setups to keep the mood organic, avoiding the stiff, over-engineered feel that often plagues commercial shoots.

The Collaborative Process

A successful shoot is a team effort. You will see me working closely with stylists to ensure fabric flow is perfect, and with makeup artists to maintain skin texture. On larger fashion campaigns, we often tether my camera to a laptop so we can review frames in real-time, checking for color accuracy and mood consistency before moving to the next setup.

Technical Intent

I rely on my Canon 5D Mark III, not because it is the newest, but because I trust the way it renders skin tones and organic textures. From using a grey card to ensure color accuracy to using macro lenses for jewellery details, every technical choice is intentional. I prefer to get the result right in the camera, which keeps my post-production minimal and authentic.

Working Together

My goal is to create an environment where the talent feels comfortable enough to be themselves. I direct by building a connection, ensuring the emotions captured feel real rather than posed. If you are looking for a photographer who treats the set like a quiet, creative workshop where we solve problems together, we will work well together. Let us create something honest.
