About The Bench Press: Mastering the Push
Most people fail their bench press because they treat it like a generic gym move, not a technical lift. Your bar path and leg drive aren't just about muscle; they are about leverage. In my sessions, we stop guessing and start fixing your setup on day one.
I coach the bench press with one goal: adding kilos to your total. Whether you are prepping for a raw meet or learning the technical nuances of using an equipped bench shirt, my approach is the same. We break down the lift into distinct phases—the setup, the descent, and the power of the lockout.
At A2 Fitness in Lodi Colony, I work with lifters on building the tricep strength needed for a rock-solid lockout, often using close-grip variations and paused reps. If you are struggling with a sticking point, it is usually a flaw in your setup, not just a lack of chest strength. We work on your arch, scapula retraction, and leg drive until those mechanics are automatic.
For online lifters, the process is just as intense. I review your training footage weekly to ensure your technique is safe and efficient. You will learn to manage your own fatigue and keep your gear tight. No shortcuts and no magic pills. You bring the discipline, and I will handle the programming. Let's see what you can really lift.
