About Bharatanatyam Classes
Dance is my happy place - it’s where I find myself and see others blooming too. After coming back to Bharatanatyam post studies and motherhood, I built Nritya Gurukul to share not just steps, but the whole vibe and spirit of this art. Here, it’s not just about dance moves - it’s about growing confidence, focus, and having some real fun together.
Who joins?
Everybody, yaar! Kids, teens, adults - absolute newbies or old hands, all mix well here. Tiny tots get their own batches. Advanced dancers prepping for exams or Arangetram training, I’ve got you covered.
How do we roll?
Classes are both online and at my studio in Noida (Sector 82). If you’re not sure, you can try 2 free trial classes, no pressure. Structure is solid, but you’ll get loads of encouragement and masti (fun) - discipline doesn’t mean boring!
What you’ll learn
If you’re here for Bharatanatyam for beginners, we start with basics - history, shlokas, and the meaning behind every movement. Flexibility and strength get built with yoga and stretching. Rhythm comes alive with sollukattus. For those chasing deeper stories, abhinaya and Margam repertoire are a big part of the journey.
Beyond steps
Students perform at annual shows and competitions, and those moments make me super proud. Some even use Bharatanatyam skills to open doors in colleges and beyond. Don’t stress about being perfect - come as you are, and we’ll grow together.

My Story
Started dancing Bharatanatyam at six - Mandya was home, stage was life. Life paused the dance for studies, work, marriage, motherhood. But dance, ya, it never left. After 15-25 years, I came back to perform in Mandya - felt like I was finally home again. Learnt from amazing gurus, did my Master's, now run Nritya Gurukul in Noida with my dancer daughter and husband. Passing on this art fills me up, just like my gurus did for me.
My Work
Bharatanatyam & Dance Classes - We teach Bharatanatyam from basics to advanced, including Arangetram preparation, and semi-classical dance choreography.
Guru-Shishya Parampara - Classes follow tradition - spiritual journey, not just steps. Ghungroo Puja (Gejje Puje) is our way to seek blessings.
Classes for All Ages - From tiny tots to ladies batch, everyone joins. Practice is key, but masti (fun) is always there too.
Student Achievements - Our students win competitions, perform at festivals, and even get college admissions through dance. Proud moments!
