Yoga Therapy for Chronic Health Conditions
Yoga is more than just exercise; it is a tool to support your body's healing journey. My home sessions focus on gentle, targeted movements to help manage conditions like diabetes, hormonal imbalances, and post-illness recovery.
I offer specialized yoga for diabetes management. Through a serene and focused practice, we can work on asanas and breathing that help regulate blood sugar levels and promote holistic health.
Dhanurasana, or Bow Pose, is an effective backbend that helps stimulate abdominal organs. This can aid in lowering and maintaining stable glucose levels for those managing diabetes.
Supta Matsyendrasana, the Reclined Spinal Twist, is a gentle yet powerful pose. It massages internal organs, aids digestion, and helps manage diabetes by addressing both physical and mental health.
Bhujangasana, or Cobra Pose, is excellent for stimulating abdominal organs and improving digestion. It also strengthens the spine and improves focus, which are beneficial for overall diabetes management.
Yoga is a powerful ally for healing. For cancer patients, it can reduce stress, improve immunity, and enhance overall well-being. I offer gentle sessions focused on strength and healing.
On World Cancer Day and every day, I believe in yoga's power to heal, strengthen, and empower. It's a journey of recovery, taken one breath and one pose at a time.

Pranayama, or controlled breathing, is essential for recovery. It increases oxygen levels, calms the mind, and improves lung function, providing strength from within.
Setu Bandhasana, or Bridge Pose, is a gentle inversion that boosts circulation and can ease discomfort. It strengthens the spine and reduces anxiety, aiding in the recovery process.
Savasana, or Corpse Pose, allows for deep relaxation and holistic healing. It encourages the body to completely let go of stress, promoting mental well-being which is crucial for recovery.
About Healing from Within: Yoga for Health Conditions
I do not believe in generic flows. When we work on something like diabetes management or hormonal balance, we adjust asanas based on how you feel that day, not a rigid script. If you are stiff or tired, we switch to props, chair support, or gentle breathwork to ensure your body gets the right stimulation without unnecessary strain.
Dealing with a health condition—whether it is diabetes, PCOS, or recovering from a serious illness—can make standard gym or studio yoga feel intimidating or even unsafe. My sessions are designed differently. I act as your guide to modify poses, ensuring we target the right muscles and organs without overexerting your body.
For diabetes management, we focus on specific twists and folds that help stimulate the pancreas and improve digestion, helping you maintain stable glucose levels naturally. If we are working on hormonal balance, the approach shifts to pelvic strengthening and calming pranayama to support endocrine health.
I bring in aids like yoga sticks, bolsters, and chairs to our home sessions. This is especially important for seniors or those with limited mobility who need support to hold poses safely. Every session is one-on-one, so I can constantly monitor your posture, breathing, and comfort levels.
We do not just perform yoga; we use it as a tool to manage your health from the inside. We focus on:
- Targeted Asanas: Poses that specifically support your condition, like spinal twists for digestion or gentle inversions for circulation.
- Controlled Breathwork: Pranayama to reduce cortisol levels and improve lung capacity.
- Safe Modification: Using props so you never feel forced into a posture your body is not ready for.
My goal is to give you a sustainable practice that you can actually stick to, even on your toughest days.
