My Signature Yogalates and Pilates Practice
This is where I share the moments that define my practice—where the resistance of the reformer meets the flow of yoga. It is not just about a workout, it is about the one percent improvement I chase every single day.
This is where my strength meets flexibility. Using the Pilates tower, I am performing an advanced hanging back extension, a movement that requires immense core control, spinal articulation, and upper body strength. It's a testament to what dedicated practice can achieve.
I call this the Pilates Chair Suryanamskara. It's a perfect example of my Yogalates approach, blending the mindful flow of a yoga sun salutation with the resistance and stability challenge of the Pilates chair. This sequence builds full-body coordination and warms up the entire system.
Here you can see a partner workout on the reformers. Training with a partner can be incredibly motivating. In this clip, we are performing a kneeling arm series with light weights to build shoulder stability and upper body strength with precise, controlled movements.
This is a roll down series on the reformer box, a fundamental movement for building deep core strength. By using the magic circle and the resistance of the reformer, I am challenging my abdominal muscles and spinal control through a full range of motion.
The Dead Bug is a foundational mat exercise that looks simple but is incredibly effective. Lying on the box for a greater range of motion, I am coordinating opposite arm and leg movements to build deep core stability and train the brain-body connection, which is crucial for preventing lower back pain.
Finding my "shanti" or tranquility by the sea. My practice is not just about physical movement; it's about connecting inwards. A few moments of quiet meditation on the mat, with the sound of the waves, helps center the mind and prepare the body for mindful work.

About Featured
When you step into my studio in Miramar, you are not just here to sweat; you are here to build a connection between your mind and your core. Whether we are using the reformer for deep, spring-loaded resistance or finding stillness on the mat, the focus is always on controlled, mindful movement. I design these sessions to strip away the noise of the day so you can actually feel the muscles you are working, rather than just moving through the motions for the sake of a calorie count.
My approach, which I call Yogalates, is the result of years of research and my own doctoral studies in yoga. I wanted to create something that bridges the gap between the strength and precision of Pilates and the fluidity and inner peace found in traditional yoga. This isn't just about getting a six-pack; it is about functional fitness—building a body that feels good to live in.
Why Yogalates Works
By combining the core control of Pilates with the stretching and breathing techniques of Vinyasa or Hatha yoga, you get a workout that challenges you without burning you out. It is perfect if you spend most of your day at a desk, as we prioritize spinal health, posture correction, and deep core strengthening. Many of my clients come to me feeling stiff or imbalanced, and through consistent practice, they start to regain their natural alignment.
My Studio Approach in Panaji
In my Kaizen Wellness space in Miramar, I rely on apparatus like the Reformer, Wunda Chair, and Cadillac. These aren't just fancy machines; they provide the tactile feedback you need to fix your form. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced practitioner, I adjust the resistance to meet you exactly where you are.
The Kaizen Philosophy
I live by the principle of Kaizen—continuous improvement. We don't chase perfection here. We focus on getting just 1% better every day. If you are looking for a space to find your sukoon (peace) while building genuine strength, this is it. We are not just training muscles; we are training the brain-body connection to help you move with purpose in your daily life.
