Fitness 101: Understanding Your Body's Unique Needs
Fitness isn't just about gym drills. Whether you're chasing cardio gains or just want to move better in daily life, let’s break down the science behind the sweat together.
Cardio is your heart's best friend. In this video, I explain what cardio is, why it's so important for your health, and how activities like Zumba are a fantastic way to get it done.
What is fitness, really? It's not a one size fits all concept. Here, I talk about how fitness is specific to your personal goals and what general fitness means for your daily life.
About Fitness 101: Know Your Body
Fitness is task-specific, meaning your routine should match your actual goals instead of following a generic blueprint. Whether you are looking to boost endurance with high-energy cardio or need a customized plan to hit your strength targets, understanding the 'why' behind the movement is the first step. Let's chat about what your body actually needs.
Fitness isn’t just about the number on a scale. As I always say, 'Jo aapki body ki requirement hai, wahi aapki fitness ki definition hai.' (Whatever your body's requirement is, that is your definition of fitness.) If you are training for a specific sport, you need a different focus than someone who just wants to stay active to handle daily life, like climbing stairs or carrying groceries.
In my sessions, I emphasize why we do what we do. Take cardio, for instance. It is not just about burning calories. When we engage in high-energy movements like the ones in my Zumba or Bhangra-Gidda classes, we are actually training our heart and lungs to be more efficient at pumping oxygenated blood. Plus, the release of endorphins is the real magic behind that post-workout glow.
I do not believe in cookie-cutter routines. Whether you are coming to a group batch at Fit Factory or want one-on-one personal training, we start by defining your goal. Do you need strength training, mobility work, or just a fun way to get your heart rate up? We look at your current fitness level and build from there.
My approach is simple: break down the science into easy steps, keep the vibe high, and ensure you actually enjoy the process. No boring drills, just real progress.

Hey, I'm Nitya. I believe fitness should be a celebration of what your body can do, not a checklist of rules. I love mixing the science of movement with a whole lot of 'full maje' (fun) to help you build a routine that you'll actually stick with.
