My Personal Approach to Yoga
Yoga isn't about being perfect, it is about connecting with yourself. Whether you wobble, fall, or flow, I am here to guide you with a smile and a little laughter.
This is me, your instructor, Nidhi. My passion is to help you connect with your body, whether that's through the playful challenge of aerial yoga or the quiet focus of a mat-based practice.
I always begin and end my practice with a moment of gratitude, often with the Namaskara mudra. This simple gesture connects me to the roots of yoga and sets the intention for our time together, reminding us to approach our practice with respect for ourselves and our bodies.
About My Approach to Yoga
If you think yoga has to be perfectly graceful, you might be surprised by how we practice. I actively encourage you to wobble, lose your balance, and laugh it off because that is exactly where the real learning happens. Whether we are focusing on mat-based sequences or exploring aerial moves, my priority is helping you feel comfortable in your own skin rather than perfecting a pose.
I started my yoga journey under the guidance of Sri Krishnamurthy Sir, but my own practice has evolved into something much more grounded. By day, I am a lawyer, and by night, I am a yoga instructor—finding the 'yoga and cheese' balance is what keeps me going.
My classes are built on a few simple truths:
- You are welcome exactly as you are. Whether you are stiff from sitting at a desk all day or looking to explore something new like Aerial Yoga, there is no need to 'prepare' for my class. Your body is ready today.
- Breath over pose. We focus on the quality of your breath and the intention of the movement, not just how the shape looks from the outside.
- Real relief. I spend a lot of time on stretches that actually tackle modern aches—specifically back pain relief for those with desk jobs.
We mix traditional elements like Surya Namaskara and Pranayama with more playful, modern techniques. My sessions are designed to be a break from the rigid expectations of daily life. Come prepared to stretch, pull, and flow, and we will handle the rest together.
