Getting to know Prajna: My yoga journey

Yoga isn't just about the mat; it's about the life lived off it. Here’s a little peek into my world, my practices, and what makes movement my favourite kind of medicine.

As a certified RYT-300 advanced Hatha yoga teacher, I bring my experience from group, personal, and corporate classes to my training. This pose on the beach in my hometown of Mangalore represents the balance and grounding I strive to share.

Finding moments of peace and reflection is a big part of my practice. This was taken at the Maitreya-Buddha Pyramid in Bangalore, a place of incredible energy. Life's journey isn't always easy, but it can be simple.

A quiet moment captured by a talented photographer. I believe in finding beauty and calm in everyday spaces, just like we aim to find stillness on the mat.

Another shot from the same peaceful setting. My personal style is simple and comfortable, reflecting my approach to yoga.

A happy moment surrounded by greenery. Nature is a constant source of inspiration for me and reminds me of the importance of growth and renewal.

Finding joy in the simple things, like a walk through a beautiful garden. This feeling of lightheartedness is something I love to bring into my classes.

A candid smile. I want my students to feel as comfortable and at ease with me as I do in this picture.

About this collection

I don't believe in just chasing the 'perfect' posture. My practice is built on real movement, anatomy, and how we actually function in daily life, not just how we look on a poster. Whether we’re in the studio or out in nature, my focus is always on making yoga feel as natural and accessible as breathing.

I’m Prajna, and for me, yoga is a journey of the self, through the self, to the self. Growing up in Mangalore, I learned early on that movement is medicine. Whether I’m upside down on a beach or practicing on a rooftop, I’m constantly looking for ways to make movement fun, freeing, and inclusive for everyone.

My studio in JP Nagar, Bengaluru, is where I bring this philosophy to life. I don’t just teach scripts; I focus on the ‘why’ behind every asana. We spend time on yoga anatomy, alignment principles, and the art of giving safe adjustments because, at the end of the day, yoga should be a practice that serves your body, not the other way around.

I offer a range of classes, from Hatha Yoga and Aerial Yoga to intensive teacher training programs. My goal is to build a community where we can embrace the occasional wobble, share a laugh, and grow together. We use props, break down complex poses into manageable steps, and keep the vibe practical and down-to-earth. You don’t need to be super flexible or fit to start; you just need to show up as you are.

If you're looking for a teacher who values authentic progress over perfection, you've found the right place. I’m here to guide you, whether you’re just starting your journey or looking to deepen your existing practice. Let’s get moving.
