Simple, breathing-focused sequences designed to help manage asthma and improve lung capacity. I guide you through every pose with specific alignment cues.

This is a simple sequence I've designed to help manage asthma. We focus on four asanas: Uttanasana, Ardha Matsyendrasana, Bhujangasana, and Setu Bandhasana, all aimed at opening the chest and improving lung capacity.

About Yoga for Health & Wellness

In this sequence, I focus on four specific asanas: Uttanasana, Ardha Matsyendrasana, Bhujangasana, and Setu Bandhasana. Each is chosen to expand the chest cavity and improve respiratory efficiency. The most important part is not the depth of the pose, but maintaining the correct alignment. As I often say, 'nimma bennannu straight aagi itkolli' (keep your back straight).

Asthma management requires a patient, consistent approach. My sequences for respiratory health focus on opening the thoracic cavity to increase lung capacity and improve oxygen intake.

We begin with Uttanasana to clear congestion, followed by Ardha Matsyendrasana to massage the internal organs and encourage full breathing. The practice moves into Bhujangasana and Setu Bandhasana, which are essential for expanding the chest and calming the nervous system.

Whether you are practicing at my rooftop studio in Koramangala or joining my live online sessions, the focus remains on safety. I provide verbal cues on anatomy and alignment, ensuring you do not overstretch or cause strain.

I offer these therapeutic sessions in English and Kannada, making the instruction accessible. We keep the batches small to allow for tactile adjustments in-person or close monitoring via video during online classes. If you are struggling with breathing or just want to build a healthier, more consistent practice, these sessions are designed to help you move at your own pace.
