Weapon Defense and Situational Control Training
When it comes to survival, theory does not work, only muscle memory does. Learn to neutralize knife and firearm threats with fast, practical street defense techniques honed through years of real MMA experience.
This is a basic defense if someone puts a gun to your head. The first move is always to get your head out of the line of fire while controlling the weapon. I show the step-by-step technique to disarm the attacker.
When an attacker holds a gun to your head with both hands, the grip is stronger. I demonstrate how to redirect the gun upwards and use a knee strike and wrist lock to take control.
If an attacker puts a gun to your back, you have to wait for the right moment. I teach you how to turn, control the weapon, and take the attacker down as they push you forward.
Here's a self-defense technique for when you are on the ground and someone has a gun on you. It involves using your legs to block and disarm the attacker.
This is the first and most common type of knife attack: a straight thrust. I show you how to block, trap the weapon arm, and take the attacker to the ground.
When an attacker holds a knife to your neck, the first step is to neutralize the weapon's power. I demonstrate how to control the knife hand and use a takedown to disarm them.
For an overhead knife attack, the defense is simple but must be fast. I teach a 'figure of four' lock to trap the arm, control the weapon, and finish with a knee strike.
Stabbing attacks are fast and dangerous. I show how to close the distance, block the attack, use a headbutt, and get into a grappling position to control the knife.
Practicing knife attack techniques on a dummy. Here I'm working on the speed and precision needed to handle a real-life knife threat.
This is a basic knife attack drill. Repetition is key to building the muscle memory you need to react correctly and without hesitation in a dangerous situation.
About Weapon Defense: Control the Threat
Disarming a weapon is not about being stronger than your attacker; it is about timing and closing the gap. In my sessions, we do not just learn a move, we drill the reaction until your hands move before your brain processes the fear. Whether it is a blade or a pistol, the goal is always the same: control the weapon, neutralize the threat, and get to safety instantly.
Beyond the Theory: Real-World Survival
In the movies, disarming a weapon looks clean. In the street, it is messy, fast, and dangerous. That is why my training in Mumbai focuses on what actually works under pressure, not what looks good in a demonstration.
Knife Defense Fundamentals
Knife attacks happen in seconds. We focus on:
- Controlling the Weapon Arm: The moment a blade is drawn, your priority is to isolate the hand holding it. If the hand is trapped, the weapon is neutralized.
- Managing Distance: You cannot win a knife fight from a distance. We drill how to close the gap safely, use headbutts, and apply joint locks to force a drop.
- Muscle Memory: We use training knives and dummy attacks to ensure your defense is instinctive. You shouldn't have to think; you should just react.
Firearm Disarming: A Last Resort
I teach gun defense as a survival-only tactic. It is a high-risk situation, and the technique depends entirely on the attacker's grip and your positioning.
- The 'First Move' Rule: Before you even touch the gun, your head must be out of the line of fire.
- Redirection: We drill how to redirect the barrel away from your vitals using immediate, sharp movements.
- Control: Once the weapon is pointed away, we transition into a control hold, using the attacker's own leverage to disarm them or break their grip.
Why Train with XFF
Most self-defense classes teach static drills. Here, we train for the chaos of a real street fight. We combine MMA, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai principles to ensure your body is conditioned for impact. Whether you are looking for group MMA training in Khar or 1-on-1 intensive sessions to build your street survival skills, I focus on turning you into someone who is ready to act when it matters most.
