The hook punch requires correct form to be effective. I demonstrate the three variations of a hook, emphasizing the 'L' shape of the arm and the importance of turning your hip to generate power.

Here, I explain how to throw a powerful uppercut. The key is to use your legs and squat into the punch, driving the force upwards from the ground to target the chin or body.

In kickboxing, the knee is a powerful weapon. I show you the correct way to execute a knee strike, including how to grip your opponent and drive your knee forward while keeping your foot pointed down to prevent injury.

The front push kick, or thrust kick, is a vital defensive and offensive move. I demonstrate how to lift your knee and push forward with the ball of your foot to stop an opponent or create distance.

Defense is just as important as attack. In this video, I cover the basic defensive movements in kickboxing, including how to use squats and sideways motion to evade punches and set up your counters.

This is a demonstration of a back kick and how to use it to counter a double leg takedown. This advanced technique is part of our women's MMA fitness program, taught by our 9-time undefeated champion coach.

About Kickboxing & MMA Technique Tutorials

The biggest mistake beginners make is ignoring their hips. Whether you are throwing a jab or a roundhouse kick, your power does not come from your arm or leg—it starts in your core and transfers through your hips. I do not let my students move to advanced combos until they fix this rotation, because without it, you are just throwing wasted energy, not landing strikes.
