Don't just swing. Learn the right form, hip rotation, and defensive basics directly from me. Whether it is for street defense or ring combat, your foundation is everything.

The foundation of boxing is the straight punch. I teach you how to throw a jab and cross with proper hip and shoulder rotation, ensuring your punches are straight, powerful, and come from the core.

The hook punch requires correct form to be effective. I demonstrate the three variations of a hook, emphasizing the 'L' shape of the arm and the importance of turning your hip to generate power.

Here, I explain how to throw a powerful uppercut. The key is to use your legs and squat into the punch, driving the force upwards from the ground to target the chin or body.

In kickboxing, the knee is a powerful weapon. I show you the correct way to execute a knee strike, including how to grip your opponent and drive your knee forward while keeping your foot pointed down to prevent injury.

The front push kick, or thrust kick, is a vital defensive and offensive move. I demonstrate how to lift your knee and push forward with the ball of your foot to stop an opponent or create distance.

Defense is just as important as attack. In this video, I cover the basic defensive movements in kickboxing, including how to use squats and sideways motion to evade punches and set up your counters.

This is a demonstration of a back kick and how to use it to counter a double leg takedown. This advanced technique is part of our women's MMA fitness program, taught by our 9-time undefeated champion coach.

About this collection

The biggest mistake beginners make is ignoring their hips. Whether you are throwing a jab or a roundhouse kick, your power does not come from your arm or leg—it starts in your core and transfers through your hips. I do not let my students move to advanced combos until they fix this rotation, because without it, you are just throwing wasted energy, not landing strikes.

Building Your Strike Mechanics

In my classes at the Khar, Andheri, and Malabar Hill dojos, we strip fighting back to its core. You are not here to look pretty; you are here to be effective.

The Striking Fundamentals We focus on the Big Three: Jab, Cross, and Hook. Most people throw a hook like they are waving at a friend. I teach you the 'L' shape and the critical hip rotation required to actually generate force. If you don't turn that hip, you are just moving your shoulder.

Defense is Not Optional If you can't block, you can't fight. I teach head movement and sideways motion to evade punches before you even think about countering. We practice squats and evasive footwork because in a real street fight, speed and positioning keep you standing.

Kicks and Knees From the front push kick to the roundhouse, we emphasize proper knee and ankle position to prevent injury. My method is simple: grip, rotate, and drive through the target. Whether you are prepping for a movie role or learning basic self-defense, these are the same techniques I use in my own championship training.

My batches are not about mindless repetition. We do high-intensity circuits where I spot check your form constantly. Whether you are training at my dojo or I am coming to your home for private sessions, the standards for your punch mechanics remain the same.
