Inside Our Studio: The Art of Hand-Painted Portraits
Watch us transform your favorite photos into custom canvas art at our Malad West studio.
A quiet moment of focus in our studio. Here, Vivek is working on a custom family painting, carefully studying the reference photos to get every detail just right.
A behind the scenes look at the painting process. Surrounded by paints and brushes, this is where the magic happens, turning blank canvases into cherished family heirlooms.
About this collection
Every piece begins with a deep dive into your photos. We do not just copy an image; we carefully balance the lighting and tones to make sure everyone in your family portrait looks natural together, even if you are all sourced from different reference pictures. It is messy, it is full of chai, and it is entirely hand-painted on premium cotton canvas.
How We Bring Your Memories to Canvas
When you come to us for a portrait, you are not just getting a painting. You are getting a piece of our history, too. We have been working together for 14 years, and our Malad West studio is where the magic happens. Here is how we turn a simple photograph into a family heirloom.
The Merge Process
Most families do not have that one perfect photo where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling. That is where our composite painting process comes in. We take your separate images and combine them into one seamless scene. We spend time in the digital mock-up phase to adjust lighting and tones so the final result feels like a moment you actually lived, rather than a collage. Whether you need to add a loved one who passed away or bring together family members who live in different cities, we handle the composition with care.
Technical Details
We believe in quality that lasts. We work on premium 18 by 24-inch or 30 by 40-inch fine-grain cotton canvases. We use professional heavy-body acrylics for vibrant, lasting color, and finish each piece with a double coat of UV varnish to protect it from dust and fading. Every edge is gallery-wrapped and painted, so your artwork arrives ready to hang without needing a heavy, bulky frame.
Our Timeline
Good art takes patience. Depending on the complexity of your portrait, we typically need 3 to 6 weeks to complete a piece. We keep you in the loop with updates, including a mid-stage work-in-progress image, so you can see your memory taking shape.
