Ground Fighting & MMA Submission Training in Noida
Most fights end up on the ground. I teach you how to control the chaos, use jiu-jitsu principles, and finish with submissions that actually work.
The guillotine choke is a powerful submission from the front. I teach how to lock it in from the guard when your opponent tries to posture up, using your legs to control their body.
The D'arce choke is a variation of a head and arm choke. Here, I show how to set it up from the turtle position, using my lats to apply pressure for the finish.
When a triangle choke fails, you can transition directly to an armbar. I teach how to flow between submissions so you always have another attack ready.
A step-by-step guide to the armbar from the closed guard. We break down how to control posture, isolate the arm, and use your hips to get the submission.
This is an advanced sequence showing a transition from an armbar attempt to a triangle choke, and then to an omoplata shoulder lock when the opponent defends.
Here's a detailed look at finishing a triangle choke. I explain how to cut the angle and use your legs to apply pressure correctly for an effective choke.
The arm triangle choke from side control. I teach the small details, like keeping your bicep relaxed to close off space, which make the submission much tighter.
This video demonstrates advanced guard work, transitioning from a De La Riva guard to a single leg X-guard and then attacking a leg lock.
How to escape a bad position on the ground and get back to your feet. We drill the technical stand-up to create space and safely disengage.
Passing the guard is essential for getting to a dominant position. This is a demonstration of the knee cut pass to get to side control.
About Ground Fighting & Submissions
Forget what you see in action movies. On the mats here at Vajra, we don't care about flashy moves; we focus on 'inside control'—using leverage to neutralize someone heavier than you. Whether you are working from a closed guard or escaping a mount, we drill these until you stop panicking when someone is on top of you.
When a fight hits the floor, panic is your biggest enemy. My approach to ground fighting is simple: control the position, then execute the submission. We don't spend time on 'sport-only' moves that won't work if someone is actually punching at you. Whether we are drilling the D'arce choke from a turtle position or transitioning from a triangle to an armbar, everything is built for reality.
We train in a raw, non-AC environment at Vajra MMA in Sector 72, Noida. You will learn to use your opponent's momentum against them—whether you are dealing with a heavy cross-face or an underhook. It is about technique over muscle. If you are a beginner, we start with basics like guard recovery and technical stand-ups. If you have been training, we look at advanced transitions like the K-guard or leg lock entries. The goal is to make you think clearly when the pressure is high. Samajh me aaya?
