My Coaching Philosophy & Fight Training
MMA isn't just about throwing punches. It is about building a fighter's mindset, mastering technique, and showing up when you do not want to. This is how I train.
This is what it comes down to. In the cage, it's not about who is bigger or stronger, it's about who has the technique and the will to dominate. This is the control I teach.
A clean, powerful takedown is the start of the end for your opponent. I teach you how to use timing and leverage to bring the fight to the ground, where we take control.
Training should also be fun. We work on head movement and reflexes, which helps you dodge punches in the ring and maybe a few red flags outside of it.
I break down every move step by step. Here, we are working on a double leg takedown from a collar tie. It's not just about doing the move, it's about understanding why it works. Samajh me aaya?
This is the main cheez. Showing up when you don't want to. That's consistency. It's the secret ingredient that turns dreams into reality, one training session at a time.
Ready for war. This is the result of discipline and hard work. I don't just train fighters, I build them from the ground up, focusing on a strong body and an even stronger mind.
My training is about building functional strength for fighting. We combine wrestling drills with strength and conditioning like front squats and push presses to make you an explosive and resilient athlete.
They laughed when I was mopping floors and said I wanted to fight. Now, I'm in the cage. This journey is proof that with enough grit, you can achieve anything.
About Featured
You do not need fancy equipment to learn how to fight; you need a system. I focus on technique over brute power, using basics like collar ties and takedowns to build your foundation. Whether you are a total beginner or looking to sharpen your cage skills, we train in a raw, non-AC facility that mimics the reality of a real fight. If you are ready to work, I am ready to coach.
My Training Approach
I believe in the 'You vs You' mindset. We do not focus on bodybuilding; we focus on functional combat fitness that translates directly to the cage.
What to expect at our sessions in Sector 72, Noida:
- Technique First: We break down every movement—from grappling to stand-up striking—so you understand the 'why' behind the move, not just the 'how'.
- Live Sparring: You cannot learn to fight without fighting. We use controlled sparring drills to teach you how to think, react, and stay calm under pressure.
- Consistent Grind: My goal is to build your endurance and resilience. You will face challenges, but that is where the growth happens.
The Facility
This is a raw training environment. There is no AC and no luxury. We have hanging heavy bags, speed balls, and a DIY ring. This setup is designed for one thing: getting work done. If you are looking for a place to sweat, learn, and test your limits, you are in the right place.
Who I Work With
I train beginners, hobbyists, and fighters. As an active MFN contender, I teach from the perspective of someone who competes in the cage. I keep my group batches limited to ensure everyone gets feedback. We work Monday to Saturday, 90 minutes a session. Samajh me aaya?
Kapil Gupta
Main Kapil hoon. I spent my early days mopping floors, dreaming of the cage, and proving everyone wrong. Now, I run training sessions at VAJRA MMA in Sector 72, where we focus on technique, conditioning, and building the mindset of a survivor, not just an athlete.
