The selection of materials is a critical step in bringing a design to life. This is a glimpse into a material sourcing day, where I explore textures, finishes, and sustainable options like fluted panels and natural wood to find the perfect components for your project.

At Upscale Architects, we believe the best spaces come from a mix of your personal narrative and rigorous technical execution. We do not copy Pinterest trends. Instead, we create a structured design roadmap that guides every project.
The Discovery Phase
We start with a conversation. Whether you are in Gurugram, Kolkata, or overseas, we use digital tools and questionnaires to understand your lifestyle. We map out your requirements, identify the 'pain points' in your current space, and establish a design language that resonates with you—be it Japandi minimalism, contemporary Indian luxury, or something entirely new.
From Vision to Technical Reality
Once we align on the concept, we translate it into technical language:
- Mood Boarding: We define palettes, materials, and lighting to set the emotional tone.
- Technical Documentation: Our work goes beyond visuals. We produce MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) drawings, flooring layouts, and axonometric technical plans to ensure the design is buildable.
- Master Planning: For larger sites, we focus on zoning strategies to balance public and private areas effectively.
Remote & On-Site Capabilities
Geography is not a barrier to quality design. Our process is built for remote collaboration, utilizing high-definition 3D day/night renders to keep you informed at every stage. If you are local, we provide on-site supervision—from checking structural joint details to verifying material selection at nurseries or stone yards. We are there to solve execution challenges, like drainage slope analysis or electrical level differences, before they become expensive problems.
Our goal is to deliver a space that is as technically sound as it is beautiful, ensuring the final handover reflects the vision we built together.
